The game runs well, I've played around 170+ hours and never crashed. In the other hand, I noticed many bugs or ingame errors. It makes sense since the game released when it wasn't done. I enjoyed the story, altough wish it had more content. Now waiting for improvements, more content and DLC's :)
It may not be a perfect game, but it has many merits. The problem was not only its aggressive marketing and inclusion of a Holywood celebrity, but that the Witcher 3 set expectations that this game did not meet. I recommend to wait till its fixed and patched up to the Witchers quality.
I am a guy that loves to focus on the story and immerse myself in it. In that regard this game is not a bit, but much shorter than the Witcher 3 which is a massive dissapointment for me. I wanted more, yet was warned from the beginning that it would be shorter so Im not angry or anything. I am hoping that the DLCs will bring decent length to this game, cause I dont see myself investing around 500 hours into this game in its current state like I invested into the Witcher 3.
This is not a game, but a real benchmark for hardware!
I can play on a lap with Ryzena 7 5800H, 16GB RAM and GTX 3060 (130W TGP) with Ray Tracing on ultra in FHD and I have 40-50 FPS
I can't play on PC where I have Ryzen 9 3900X, 16GB RAM and 6700XT (even if I have 6800XT or 6900XT) because I have 25-30 FPS in FHD / 1440p.
PC for PLN 9,000 loses vs laptop for PLN 6,000: D
Fatal optimization for Radeons - turning on RT takes more than 50% of the card's power, where with Nvidia, including RT, a decrease of 10-15% and no mGPU support
The good: Neat idea for a storyline if someone already done.
Some interesting characters.
A LOT of bugfxing and better performance.
The bad: Every patch that adds a feature or changes a gameplay mechanic makes the gameplay more like a Bethesda game... as in less fun.
I want to start off by saying that I wanted to like this game. I was a day 1 purchaser and player. I'm not one to rush through a story and I took my time. I liked the game but I didn't like it as much as I thought I would. When a patch get released I'll videos about the changes and get excited and do another playthough. Still, I find myself not loving it like I have other RPG's. It took me a while and some reflection on howI felt through different aspects of the game. THis is my Conclusion:
I HATE Johnny Silverhand.
I do not say that lightly. I've never played a game where I really liked every part of the game except the main story. As soon as Johnny is introduced, I feel as If I'm no longer the protagonist. I'm now a side character in someone elses main story. (Lol we are all a side character is someone else's main story). I realized that this is why on subsequent playthroughs I dread the heist and only do it Watson is complete.
I find myself wishing I could skip through most of the scripted story elements and every time the UI turns blue. I would honestly love the option of ripping out the chip if Johnny died too because screw him.
The most interesting quest, IMO, is the one involving Jefferson Peralez and the conspiracy revolving around him. I would have loved for that quest line to be way more fleshed out and be the main quest line.
