8/10. Ironic, but avoid reading reviews.

Game's a solid 8/10. At normal pace with full gigs/side-quests completion and all ending options you get about 120h of gameplay. That's 1 eur per 2 hours. Not many single-players can offer that, so it's good content. I'm strictly scoring the PC version that I own. I won't include bugs in the score, most if not all are easily fixable, the game is a few days old. Did everyone forget bethesda games exist? or unfinished games like Sea of Thieves, No Man's Sky and so on. Or you would rather pay 60 eur for AC where you do the same thing you did in the last 2 games + microtransaction store and dlcs? Save your sanity and don't binge reviews. Half of them are correct, the other half are people who set their expectations thinking this is the new messiah when it's actually just another (good) game. You gotta play the game yourself and relieve your mind of such expectations to be able to see which half wrote these reviews. Highlighted pros: Story, Characters, Dialogue, Hacking/Stealthplay, Side-quests Highlighted cons: Crafting, some perks, cyberware(implants). I can detail if found useful.

Great story in a superb atmosphere

The game offer offers a solid adventure with the right amount of Role-Playing. The quests (especially sidequests), the story, the lore and the atmosphere are absolutely fantastic. Bugs are there however they are usually minor graphical glitches, enemies IA is not bad (enemies will hide, use abilities, surround you, force you out of cover with granades). The city is the container of the stories, not the game itself. NPCs, driving cars, police, gangs are side content so if you're looking for that as the main course you'll be disappointed: it's a single player Action/RPG game, not a Sandbox game.

My favorite Game of the Year 2020

First of all I would like to say that I write this review after almost 86h of played time and almost two playthroughs. I LOVE this game because the setting and the story is absolutely amazing. Of course there are some points that could be better like the lifepaths pre-story and some graphic bugs but all in all it's a great game. The Game is a really good RPG unlike some other comments say. There's only one thing I really don't like and that's the Armor of the clothes... My wish is that clothes are only a nice optic feature or the stats for Armor should be reworked. The Romances and the optional (good) endings that resultet from them are very emotional for me and that's great! There's one more thing that I don't like. When I drive on PC with Controller and the Controller goes on standby then sometimes it happens that the Controller doesn't work when he gets reconnected with the game. But I don't care about those little things that aren't perfect at the time. Good Work CDProjektRed!

An ironically flawed masterpiece

So here it is, finally! After having played through the story once while doing LOTS of exploration and side missions, the only thing I can say is: It was one helluva trip! Having played on PC I probably had the most polished experience of all the platforms which this game was released on. That being said, I very much liked the experience! Night City is a visually stunning and very detailed game world and probably the best I've ever seen so far. The OST and soundtracks within the game are very good! As a huge fan of the deep-house, noise and dark synth genres, this game left no wishes unfulfilled. The story is up there amongst this games strongest qualities. It establishes a very mature and grim world where everyday life for most people is just about getting by and survival. You're basically thrown into a 50 year old grudge between a certain rockerboy and one of Cyberpunks' most powerful megacorps- or so it seems... Until you realize that since the glory days of the 2020's (where the pen'n'paper rpg takes place canonically) nothing has really changed. The Corps, after 4 consecutive global wars, still build their empires on "the broken spirits of the people". Johnny Silverhand is probably my new favourite video game caracter. Seriously you'll have to see it to believe it! It certainly hit my nerve. Being set in a dystopian future, the setting is a very well orchestrated social commentary on the real world of today. It is quite disturbing how accurate and up-to-date themes and topics are presented in this game. Respect! Regarding the overall quality of the product I shurely hope that CDPR will live up to its reputation and after some rest refine and extend the Cyberpunk experience. There is a looooong list of features which were obviously cut from the games current build which I would certainly love to see in my Cyberpunk. It is sad to see how mismanagement and lies have affected the game and quite ironic considering the message behind this game amazing story.

With some exceptions, what I wanted

Before pre-ordering the game I was concerned that the game would be another Ubi-like game. I was one of htose who didn't get that much into the hype, and was hoping just for an 8/10 game at the minimum(high place to set the bar, but ocme on, the footage was impressive). And... I can't say that I didn't get what I want. Instead of a hand-holdy Ubisoft game I got a futuristic Bethesda game. There are just as many funny glitches that don't break the game but are simply funny(though compared to others my game has been ridiculously smooth with only the occasional T-pose and wavy trees), just as many good ideas countered by how much potential they simply took out of the game(dual wielding mod when?). To sum up, while the game has its problems(control scheme takes some getting used to, low-tier vehicles handling either like a concrete fridge or like a log of melting butter and the occasional immersion-breaking funny bugs) you need to look past that to see what the 'real' game behind it has to offer: A stunning open-world with challenging combat and decent stealth, a fun and FAR from grindy leveling system, satisfying weapons with number-crunching stats aspect to them(looking at you, Ashura) and hours upon hours of side-missions with interesting stories packed into every corner.
