Masterpiece in a making (need more time)

Oh my, where do I begin. What I really want to express, this launch feels like something went wrong during developement. It looks to me, a lot of content got cut short. Negative feels first - mostly things that feel like they've got cut - and than I'll explain why 5 stars. - game doesn't have opening cinematic trailer ( real shock ) - no free DLC's at launch like TW3 had , with hair styles etc. - our apartement is boring and serves almost no purpose except "for flavour" - two interactable sex workers in the huge city of lust and decadency ( The Gummibears forest is more lewd) - calls from all NPC's are automaticaly ansered by V ( immersion breaking ) - game cuts into black screen - moves us - too many times without giving us any choice. It just happends becouse " it had to " (" everything from V's perspective " huh?) - no hair stylist in the entire game ( really ? even Witcher 3 had multiple barbers and it's a medieval fantasy world ) - the clothing shops are laughable, very few items to choose from even with high street cred. (fashion is important .. ) - it barely matters which lifepath we choose. Lifepaths were hyped too much, so it feels now like it was a lie about how important this decision was. -crafting sucks All of the above really feels like a bunch of content that was cut short or they wouldn't realese this game even in the 2021. So, why I'm giving Cyberpunk 2077 five stars after this "rant" ? Becouse this is amazing game that will make you smile and cry. Great story, characters, fluid combat, different approach to missions, fantastic open world, quests decision making... ...and the most immersive NPC interactions I have ever seen in my life. Motion capture on characters, voice acting, writing, music in the background... goosebumps. To me, Cyberpunk 2077 launch is a full price worthy beta version of what will come later. They have playfield now of what to do with this game, and I have real belief that this is only the beginning.

Keep Practicing, Samurai

I going to amputate from consideration any technical issues and set them on the hall table for a moment — I assume they'll be addressed, patch-wise. Having a look over the rest of the game though, I think 2077 still ails from a few core defects of a kind that are perhaps less easily patched out. Its most concerning fault is inherently existential. After 30-ish hours puttering around Night City, the experience still feels vague and indistinct. The environment design at first staggers, dazzling and vibrant, teeming for an instant with possibility, but that veneer ultimately crumbles under the weight of scrutiny. What's left is a visually satisfying, punch-out poster board city that gives you something nice to gander at while you smash your swerve-mobile from place to place. Side missions and open-world encounters are shallow and repetitive (kill the guys milling about, loot the container), and non-combat diversions are absent. Not even drinks and darts. The FPP combat can be challenging and frenetic at times but grows tepid in a way that I can only characterize as "something's off and I'm not sure what”. Further, electing to go forced FPP in a massive, open-world RPG that emphasizes customizable character aesthetics is a bit contentious. I understand CDPR's rationale and it works to a degree, but more than a few might prefer a GTA/Elder Scrolls-style toggle that lets the player determine their preferred perspective situationally. More work, I know, but other studios managed it on similar budgets. Whisk into the mix a story where ostensibly divergent choices always come back to meet in the same place and the “role-playing” part of this action RPG kind of gets vacuumed out the window. Ultimately Cyberpunk feels like it suffered a profound crisis of identity central to its development and never fully committed to what it wanted to be. The product of that indecision is something like a not-quite-finished Dying Light meets Watchdogs — fine and fun, but not legendary.

Most ambitious RPG ever

This title is not perfect like the witcher at first, but it's certainly the best rpg of the century. There's a lot of elements that reminds me of Deus Ex but with more freedom and much more content

Masterpiece

Deus Ex + Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines + CDPR sauce. Dream come true. I'm just 13 hours in and it's highly addictive. The immersion, art, sound, graphics, story, gameplay, characters - everything is top notch. Also the performance is really good: I'm playing on Ryzen 2700, undervolted Vega 56 (Sapphire Pulse), classic SSD and 32 GB ram -> 60 fps, 1440p with 75% CAS. Everything on max but reflections and volumetric cloud effects turned off.

Moving Forward

This game is excellent. There finally is a game that puts modern hardware to its knees as it should be. We have access to 16-core CPUs, 64 GB of RAM, SSDs that go well above 3500 MB/s read speeds and yet we are stuck with the concept that all games "must" run on 2015 hardware. It's ridiculous. There can be plenty of simple or downgraded games available, but there also should be plenty of complex games that engulf our gaming needs. And Cyberpunk is exactly that. And I, for one, am trully happy.
