Since I sorta burnt out on Wild Hunt (after 3800 hours) I had been seeking another game to fill the void. I finally found it, I have been completely pulled into Cyberpunk world.
Have experienced a few bugs, and they are gotten around by loading a previous autosave.
Mantis blades and Katana are by far my favorite weapons, greatest difficulty thus far has been driving cars in traffic. Its either go fast or stop for me, keyboard issue I guess. I have run into a few innocents and police. I really enjoy the combat system though.
Game runs great on my computer, no lags or skips, wish I had a 3080 but my 2080 does great.
First of all i wanna say, that i'm not were waiting for GTA 2077 like 50% of the people around. What i mean actually is that i'm not wanna play this game for shoot cop's and crush people while driving (sory for my englando).
What exactly i waited and why everything is perfect for me?
1)World. I waited for the game with the HUGE and full of content world. You walking through the Night City and everyone doing their buisness. There are gangs fighting each other, cop's trying catch someone, people make conversations and etc etc.
2)Visuals. I'm playing on middle PC (Ryzen 2700X and Vega 56) on high-ultra settings with 40-50 fps. I think "breathtaking" it's very right word to describe how this game looks.
3)Combat. I were skeptical about this one at first, but shootings in this game on the decent quality level, not on level of DOOM but still cool. Shooting is plesure.
4) Music. I should have put this on the first place but anyways, everything you should know about soundtrack - amazing.
5)Story. I find this story more impressive than Witcher 3 even considering such fundament of Witcher like books. Quests are designed and writted really on high level and yes, thank to first person playing, you really diving in story.
But, even i rate this with such high score there is not only good things in this game.
Eating food, dancing in club, playing games, fitting clothes before you buy it. Small things which i think CDPR gonna add in future DLC are missing in this game right now.
Bugs. If you wanna break the game you will find them, otherwise they are not meeting with you.
Summarize.
Pros:
1)Huge and intence world.
2)Amazing graphics.
3)Enjoyable combat system.
4)Awesom Soundrack.
5)Deep and interesting storyline.
Cons:
1)Missing few things for full diving.
2)Bugs? I don't think it should be in cons, cuz such things are correcting fast.
4.90\5.0
I played on PC after the first hotfix and I must say that everything was working really well - some small visual bugs from time to time but really nothing affecting my gameplay. I get it that it could've been different for different players , especially on consoles.
The real value of the game is storytelling, and it really delivers especially if you don't rush straight to the end and take some time with side stories before finishing the main quest. Most of the characters are well written, and it is something that sadly is not at focus in video game industry nowadays. They make you believe that you are really speaking to a person that has a story to tell.
Everybody had really high expectations regarding the game but most of people focused on the initial release problems and went on and happily joined the shitstorm instead of approaching it like any other game. I mean OK if it really is difficult for you to play becouse of bugs i get it. But otherwise just give it a chance becouse you can miss out a lot.
Amazing graphics, plenty of gameplay, beautiful cyber world. Yes there is game glitches everywhere but something i expect from such a large game focusing on graphical integrity. I cant wait for DLC and multiplayer.
Oh boy.. This game has some problems in technical department. When I saw our Jackie boy going forward and his guns flying behind him I knew I'm in for a treat (if you saw the same you ain't seen nothing yet). There ware a lot of bugs. Most of them are just an annoyance (game crashed only once for me).
So why highest score?
The highest score for me is never about being perfect. If that was the case no game ever would get 10 out of 10. There are always things you enjoy and things you don't enjoy. I gave it highest score because of the emotions that I felt while playing it, the chemistry between characters, the compelling story with no rights or wrongs. This game has a lot of problems, but it also has a soul which is quite rare in todays game industry.
So yeah.. Is this a perfect game? Hell no. But, in my book, this is still one of the best games I played in the past 5 years and definitely the best game I played in 2020.
