An absolute shame

As i play through Cyberpunk, I can't help thinking of what could have been. With a proper physics system, proper ai, and more time. Cyberpunk is a beautiful woman with zero going on in the brain. Just as you think she might have a good idea, the outright dumbness pulls you out. Just like Cyberpunk. A nice vista with an interesting bit of story is immediately derailed by an unshakable clunkiness. A load is often the solution to a broken progression trigger. Things pop in and out. Flickery shadows ruin visuals. I truly thought Cyberpunk would approach Rockstar levels of quality. Instead we're treated to even lower than Bethesda levels of jank and bugginess. Massive regret for buying on release day. Do yourself a favor and play something like Fallout New Vegas, Deus Ex Mankind Divided or Red Dead Redemption 2 instead of this.

Disappointing mess.

The game was advertised as an rpg, we ended up getting an action adventure game. Oh and remember the E3 2018 "gameplay" trailer? yeah that was fake.

a disgrace for pc players

After i played the game in its original state, which was far from perfect, but enjoyable, at least to me, i returned this summer. ONE of the few selling points was the truly good story and the amazing graphics that immersed me into the world of Cyberpunk. NOW i return to the game and i feel like something is off. I realize there are many visual bugs that had not been there before. I check my graphics settings, which had not changed, what made me worry my pc was breaking down. After a few minutes i found out, that CDPR basically downgraded the hell out of Cyberpunk, so the old console generation can run the game. In this state of the game i can not recommend buying this. You will find no enjoyment in this nightmare of visual downgrade. On top of everything i have not found a single statement from CDPR adressing this to the public, what in my eyes is a complete shame. I PAID FOR THIS GAME! And not a shitty PS4 Version! Till this is fixed even 1 Star is a compliment

It`s ok I guess..

It`s attempts to be `adult`seem childish, the character nudity serves no real purpose when we get clothes 2 minutes later. Maybe the game might have had a better launch had it not been so preoccupied by nonsense with no function. The music isn`t bad but it`s over-reliance on inappropriate rap just kills the mood as it`s so out of place. The UI is a confused, overcomplicated messy layout of inventory/upgrade screens that are dull to look at, awkward to decipher, tough to navigate and have no logical or cohesive flow. Upgrades so far are also quite boring. Gameplay is average I guess, nothing stands out. After all the tutorials the world asks no more of me than shooting guns at people and it`s not great at that either. The vehicles seem pointless and if you want to get immersed in the city it`s far more fun to go on foot as the streets aren`t made for fun driving and cars handle worse than the games it`s trying to mimic. The open city is anything but, obvious even from your starting area where every door is conveniently `locked` and the main city is just more of the same empty facade, just more real estate pushing you to the next area that may have had something finally built behind it. No different to other games but wasn`t this supposed to be better ? AI is often laughably poor, enemies aggro and `hunt` for you by pacing up and down the same 10 foot path repeating the same 2 phrases over and over for 10+ minutes when you`re 5 feet away down a ladder. `I`m gonna find you.. Where did you go..?` Their hacking can find you without line of sight of course which feels lazy. Hopefully patches address some of this but Cyberpunk is just so average I can`t see any amount of work will fix that. There are already better Shooters and Rpg`s because they focus on gameplay and not all the inconsequential stuff. Sure it looks nice at times but that`s not enough and I haven`t found the desire to go back and play any more. A bit dull and just hasn`t grabbed me like Witcher 3 did.

Feels like wasted potential

I would like to begin by saying I did enjoy the game, in fact I would say it was one of my favorite games this year, but that doesn't change the fact that the game is wasted potential. I'm not talking about the hype surrounding it, which even if the game was extraordinary it could not possibly have lived up to, but rather the things that are there which if given more time would have made the game shine. Cyberpunk is best in the quiet moments whether that be sharing a beer with a new friend in a secluded spot, or sitting by an impromptu grave in the rain the game is carried by it's characters and moments like these which drag you into the world and just won't let go. The wasted potential comes in the form of not playing to these strengths. You have your traditional story driven side quests, of which I have not found one I did not like, which play to these strengths by presenting interesting characters, situations, or both. Then, you have the gigs and NCPD hustles which don't do any of that and are simply placeholders, more often than not boiling down into cookie cutter missions with no individuality, interesting goals, or staying power. The world is littered with these gigs which serve no real purpose, and is painfully short on the missions that make the game dazzling both side quest and main quest alike. And while the other issues like bugs and optimization can and will be fixed eventually, the quantity of quests which absolutely blow your mind cannot be.
