A missed chance

The game is good, provided you can run it (the recommended specs are the minimum for barely medium settings). The only downside I found to it was that the story is not quite as engrossing as the Witcher, as I'm sure that the effort in graphics detracted from quests and story quality. Think of it as the witcher meets fallout, without the really cool and piercing social commentary of fallout. If you're ok with that, give it a shot, otherwise skip.

Delivered

I’ve bought it earlier but started to play it seriously some time before patch 1.5. And I love it. True, I’ve encountered a number of glitches like floating objects or npc’s sinking in the ground, stuff like that, but nothing fun-braking. I really appreciate all the massive artistic work that was done making this game. Architecture, interior design, car design, fashion, music made exclusively for it, the directory of predefined scenes… I is a art piece in so many aspects. That is impressive. Gameplay is nice, it brings nothing new to the table, at least I haven’t notice anything, but everything is executed properly, I can’t complain about any mechanics. It’s nice to play. As for one thing people complain about, that is lacking of police chases. Well, for me “it’s not a bug, it’s a feature”. Nothing breaks my immersion more than this GTA style one man army versus entire city of cops/swat/army/tanks etc. I just don’t like to play like that. So when I accidently run over someone speeding my car and the police gets on me, I’m glad I can easy run from it and pretend nothing happened ;) You can even assume it’s part of the lore. I thing no one, including police, gives much value to human life. As long as corporate business is unthreatened they don’t care. I however have a different, little issue with this game. I think there is way too little ways to customize your characters appearance. In the world where people are altering every aspect of the way they look you should be given much more freedom. Finally: the story. I haven’t finished the game so I can’t really judge it yet but as far I just love it, its captivating and fun to unravel. Characters are well written, Jackie was great, Jonny Silverhand is so repulsive (as intended, I guess) and I’m absolutely in love with Panam. For me 10/10

Love this game...

I have an old machine I7-4790k with AMD R9(380) and it plays 1080P at 120FPS at medium settings. I haven't run into any bugs or glitches in game...with 2 play throughs and working on the 3rd. Each patch has made the game better and beter. I can't wait for new DLC.

The game where I care

I might be the only user to avoid any major bugs everyone keeps mentioning. But even if I didn't... Cyberpunk 2077 hits a strangly underrepresented subgenre of RPG that has relatively low dialogue choice compared to classic D&D games, but it makes every option sound reasonable and resonate with the events and more importantly, you. It has a right amount of flavour that makes dialogues sound like a true well-narrated table-top RPG. I was hugely unimpressed with combat at first, but grew enjoying it on my second playthrough so much that I don't regret anymore when either diplomacy or sneaking fails. Improved performance definitely helps that :-) I feel that despite all of the obvious reasons to like the game and even if all the issues across all the platforms are resolved, the game would still hit the spot of "I played the heck out of it, but I still feel it's not completely satisfied". Why is that? Everyone wanted to get something else from the game, but what the game is - a thrilling rollercoster with an inevitably dire ending. Yes, you get to choose the flavour, but the game was always honest with you: the clock is ticking, your are doomed. A very mature and uncomfortable solution. At the end I just sat for 15 minutes speechless during the ending credits and then went into writing poetry (and I'm not a poet, I'm a programmer).
