Cyberpunk 2077

As someone who waited patiently for the game to be finished before buying and didn't closely follow its development, it absolutely lives up to the initial pre-release hype in its current state! I don't understand why everyone is still complaining. Perhaps if I had already been playing it for years since the official release I would feel differently. In any case, Cyberpunk 2077 is an amazing open-world action RPG and delivers on all fronts. Block off some vacation time and get ready to time travel into the future. You won't want to leave this fully immersive world. There still are some flaws, but no game is perfect and most of them can be fixed with mods. I highly recommend “Climate Change” by essenthy on pollution mode and “Cyberrunner - a Bladerunner like Reshade” to perfect the artistic direction. Then “HARDCORE22 - Realistic Combat Overhaul” in order to fix the bullet-sponge mechanics and convert them into someonthing more like Far Cry 3 on hardcore difficulty.

dont listen to all the trolls. bough game in 2022 and its amazing. spent hundreds hours exploring doing all side quests etc. no bugs noticed and controls are fine and easily optimisable. history bit short but so much side stuff to do and explore. graphics are amazing and ambiance. the romance is nice too with a real feeling to it.

The world could be more interactive. only 4 romances, no cutscenes and no third person camera are flaws i can hardly accept, but the biggest downside of the game is the story. It is really a fantastic, deep experience the first time playing through going in blind. Ok, maybe a second time, because of the knowledge and puzzle pieces i have now that make the experience different, but all other playthroughs i found myself stalling the entirety of the story missions past the Heist, stopping right before i should meet Takemura. After that point its just a burden, constant depression, pressure, and glitches and blood coughing every 20 minutes. I just wanna play á la Skyrim. Exploring and building freely, no Johnny in the head, no forced doom and gloom, just free play. Thats what im missing. Other than that i dont think i'll ever get enough of just taking a stroll, or driving around and just taking in the deeply detailed, pretty damn realistic looking 80's retro-futuristic elements, like the dashboard of a car, or getting to look at the world from the few accessible tiny aparments and their roofs, or looking up on them from the ground up.

I honestly liked Cyberpunk at release despite the issues. And the recent add-on has made it even better. Especially compared to a similar release like Starfield, this is the much better choice.

Let's talk about the elephant in the room. I've had no performance issues nor have I experienced any bugs (yet). If you guys have performance issues, update your drivers (clean install) and restart your rig. Next, make sure to turn off Chromatic Aberration, Film Grain and Motion Blur (I recommend turning these off in any game) in the settings to actually see the beauty of this game. Next you wanna put the Cascaded Shadows Resolution to Medium or lower as this setting tanks performance massively.
