Cyberpunk 2077

With patch 1.5, this is exactly when the game should've been released. As it is, the game is polished enough to warrant a full purchase. It's no more rough like it was on launch day. With that said, if you've been waiting to get your hands on it, well now is the time to pick it up! There are still a few glitches here and there (albeit rare), but nothing game-breaking or immersion-breaking like it was before. The driving on KB+M has also been drastically improved, as well as NPC AI. I waited until now to pick it back up, and now I'm hooked on it.

The launch started things out badly. We ALL know that. So did No Man's Sky and look where that awesome game is today. Promises kept.' with 2077, the fact they continue patch, update and expand the game, at least right now, says to me they intend on making this game what it was supposed to be and what it will be over time. The game has some great storylines to it. It can be engaging and fun and keep you going for hours. I would like to see MANY more content DLC's that add much more to the story, the depth and the replay-ability of the game overall. It has already come a long way. I would love to see it grow even more.

(purhcased at 50% off) I never played the game at release date and had decided at that point to give it a year or so to see how updates go. A few weeks before 1.5 released I decided it was time to give it a try and i'm glad I did. It has it's flaws that is for certain but what game doesn't once you've played it for more than 20 hours. I've put a solid 150 hours of gameplay into it so far and have yet to finish the main campaign once. The city is a wonder for the roaming gamer type, it has more going on within the map than GTA maps do. So you can wander for hours and RPG to your hearts content. The drawback for me is the storyline that has a few flaws. Firstly is the pacing, you have really two timelines playing at once. Saving V from Johnny timeline and the other being V's attempt to become the best solo Merc in Night City. It's the differing pace of these two and really the total difference in the storyline that they should have been separated entirely different. As you play past the first tutorial heist mission you encounter an onslaught of reminders that "hey you're dying", this wouldn't be so bad except Victor tells you he gives you only a few weeks to live as do others throughout. So you're left with being reminded your brain is slowly melting and a map of wonder and quests galore with secrets hidden far too numerous for one playthough. You are literally having to deliberately decide that you will ignore any and all 'relic' malfunctions as you RPG your solo merc career. The game has never crashed for me and i've left it running for hours, stable FPS with only a few scenes or spots that have lower averages (GTX 1660). I honestly think if you sat down the extremely negative reviewers and asked them what they would add to make it better, a majority wouldn't know what to add specifically. I think the negative reviews at this point are just salty people with their expectations that got out of hand in the beginning.

I know this game got a lot of deserved heat on launch and it kept me from buying it. once the 1.5 update came out I finally decided to give it a ty and I'm glad I did. The main story is great and keeps me interested. The side missions are even a lot of fun. Graphics are really great as well. The map is huge but it also seems to lack something. Kinda seems empty even though it's full.

The quests are well made and interesting, the female V has great voice acting. It had a few bugs for me on launch but they were mostly amusing rather than annoying. the 1.5 patch has smoothed out a lot, especially when driving around fast and textures that would previously have trouble loading in time now do. The one thing is that quickhacking is overpowered, not well balanced because the AI can't counter it, and can quickly make the game far too simple and unchallenging. You can either limit yourself from overusing it, avoid it as a combat option, or try the lifepaths mod on nexus which puts some constraints on quickhacking.
