Since I bought this game on release day, I have played the s*** out of it. I've played this game more than any other game since become an adult and working a full time job.
I have loved everything from the sound track, gunplay, facial expressions, writing/storyline, RPG mechanics, right down to the sound the motorcycles make.
I haven't encountered literally 1 single bug. When i heard all the back lash I genuinely thought the world was going nuts due to being quarantined for an entire year.
This is a good game. this is probably the best , most enjoyable media experience I have had since I played Metal Gear Solid 4 like 12 years ago
Pro's:
-Artistically is stunning.
-Gunfire, combat, stealth and hacking is realy fun; lots of clothes to have w/great combinations (Just don't mind the armor stats, at one point you've got what you need).
-I love the photo mode (that's why I pick my attire).
- There is a variety of everything; even the places feels different. (artistically stunning, again).
- Lovable characters; memorable villains.
- Immpresive voice and animation acting.
- Great story.
- Silverhand is my fav pet :3
Con's:
- Immersive breaking bugs...
- Game breaking crashes.
- At some point, Night City feels empty. NPC's are dumb and souless... We all need minigames, car racings, tatoo parlors, hairdressers, it would be great that the ripper docs would show more visual interaction with what is given; NPC's that put up a fight... give more life to Night City, it has lots of potential!!
- There are no bigger changes with your actions; not even choosing your origins, makes something diferent (but some dialogs that leads you to the same result); your origins should play w/ your stats or the kind of clothing that your character "prefers" to use at least or something like that...
- Do something about the NCPD... please!! We all need car chasings! Being able to fire a gun from our driving seats; Gang Wars!! And stop it with the officers being teleported everywhere; that's not fun, no one likes it; it just makes you not wanting to interact with breaking the law option whatsoever; it forces you in a bad way; that is not what an RPG is about!! We want to create havoc too!!
I still have high hopes that most of it can be fixed and updated. Some games have returned from worst conditions.
I played over 425 hours so far, playing both the street kid and nomad twice. I am waiting to play the corpo path until more content and updates come out. However, I have had an itch to just play the corpo since finishing with the other two paths.
One of the things that I find most interesting, is that I have not had these numerous bugs and issues that you see on videos and forums. The game play was not without issues, but all issues where very minor, except one bug which was fixed early, where I could not complete a crime event on the map.
I like that many of the choices are hidden until you do side quests, which open them up, not so much make them an option that you get later regardless of choices. I have found eight variations of endings, even if they play some of the same cinematics once you get there. Most of these endings only open if you did the side quests to open these choices up. There might be more, but that is all that I have found so far.
While I am playing the game at the max settings, minus ray tracings, I run on a 1080 11gb GPU and have quad Ram at 64gb, running the game on a dedicated SSD just for the game. My processor is a new Intel Extreme processor as well. I do not know if this will help anyone who is having issues with the game, but perhaps these specs allow for a smoother game play, as I did everything I could in this game, though did fail some missions by not accepting or completing them in time on the Street Kid path, such as the crazy guy in front of the tarot shop/Vic's.
I find that my only complaint is that I want more. I am definitely looking forward to the future of this IP.
I completed this on Xbox series X but still feel like trying out on pc so bought in on GOG.com but seems like more bugs on pc compare to series X. Even with latest update still can see my vehicle hanging in the air.
Bought the pc version from third party still sealed in orignal packaging and straight away the code does not work. I purposely waited a very long time to give them time to work out the issues and I cant even download. What a disaster. I did submit a ticket but lets be real theres zero chance they are going to make it right from neither the third party or CDPR. There is also ZERO chance I will purchase again either un less it tips below like $10 in the very near future. I already paid $60 for the game i will not pay it again.
