Cyberpunk 2077

I'm incredibly sad that a lot of people have issues with the current state of the game. It's sad, because they'll miss out on this fantastic game. I guess, I'm lucky, because the game runs great for me and I'm having a blast. I was hyped about it when I saw the first 45min gameplay on YouTube in 2018, and omg does it deliver. And I'm not even exaggerating when I say that it's the best game I've played in a very, very long time. It really, really is that good. If you love Skyrim, Enderal (especially Enderal, best comparison imho), Fallout, GreedFall, The Outer Worlds, or (obviously) The Witcher 3, you will fall in love with CP2077. The story is great, the characters are believable, the music and the atmosphere are top-notch. It is packed with emotional, quiet, as well as loud moments. Quite a roller coaster. While there have been a ton of complains about the gameplay mechanics, I actually like them a lot. The gunplay is great, the driving is good (you drift a lot, but it's fun), and the stealth gameplay is okay (not too in-depth, just "ok"). The game is packed with side-content. You'll get calls from so-called "fixers". The harder the so-called "gigs" are, the more "Eddies" you'll get. As you'd come to expect from CDPR, all side-missions are actually fun and not just your typical "fetch quests". Most side-missions have a twist, some are just funny (like e.g. a talking vendor machine which tells you jokes). Yes, I'm aware of the bugs. I've experienced a fair share of them, too. But I've seen worse. Much worse, believe me. And I'm positive, they'll get addressed.

To clarify first, my PC is up to date in terms of the requirement in specs and I could run it on high - ultra settings without having any FPS drops. I am currently 20 hours in and I have enjoyed every bit of it. From the main quest to doing side quest and gigs, its been a pleasure. I feel like theres just so much to do interms of going to new places or finding hidden gems around this game. I stopped playing pc games for a long time but started again 2 years ago when I bought my PC. Compared to other games I've tried during this duration, Im just amazed but the graphics and the story of this game. I usually never play story games as I prefered multiplayer or casual games but I love the story of this so far. Every time I play, Im just astonished by the amazing graphics and how big the city is. The only minor problem I have rn is that some of the "fogs" in the game are blurry/buggy and there's been a few times that I see I alittle bug but thats really it. Im not a picky person and as I've mentioned I played games a long long time ago and started again so these minor bugs does not bother me. I've also compared it to other AAA games that Ive played the past 2 years and non of them besides the Witcher 3 has come close to this level. I trusted this company after I bought the Witcher 3 and it did not dissapoint me. I know theres been complaints about the console side, but for PC with aan up to date performance specs, I would say this is my favorite single RPG I've ever played. Worth every penny I paid and I have recommended all of my gamer friends about it. Also THIS IS MY FIRST EVER GAME REVIEW because I'm that happy with the product. Thank you for making the end of 2020 exciting.

Previous gen consoles and minimum spec PCs will only bring on frustration. IF you have a PC with the horsepower to play the game, it will be a good experience. I've not seen any game breaking bugs and only had graphics card driver related issues until I updated. I've had 4 hour and longer sessions without a crash. And, as an early adopter, I'm not going to cry and whine about release version 1. It should only get better with updates. That being said, I had to upgrade my PC to a 2070 to get the fps at the quality I'd be satisfied with. I was using a 1060 and was getting 20-30 fps. Definitely playable, but I'm used to 60. So yeah this game cost me hundreds of dollars but my session times are adding up fast. Looks like this will be a 200+ hour game, so maybe I will get my money's worth. Some quick bullet points: If you liked Deus Ex you will like CP Prey had a more logical skill tree and skill progression The mouse lag will be irritating to fps players The map and inventory GUI is clunky If you have an RTX card turn on DLSS for a big bump in fps The level of detail in the world design is very impressive Minimum RX5700XT or RTX2070 for 60fps at 1080 (my CPU is ryzen 3700x) CP will can only get better with future updates, so if you can wait, you will have a better first experience (and maybe even cheaper) than us impatient fanboys. If you haven't played Prey, that will be a good time (excellent story, tighter gameplay). Yes, I am a bit bummed it didn't live up to the hype, but it looks good and is fun. But really, isn't that what it's for?

The game is brilliant, the bugs (not that I've encountered many) are temporary.
