Night City is your new home

Two words... Breathtaking Masterpiece. I never write reviews, but this deserves it. Overall, the best game I've ever played. This is everything I expected and more. After reading reviews claiming this was not what was hyped or promised I disagree with almost disdain towards these reviewers. I understand others may experience bugs/glitches. Only a few times have I crashed and that was before the recent patch 1.04 and if you have an RTX card definitely use DLSS whether or not you use ray tracing, with that it runs like butter for me. Story: Fascinating with some twists and turns. Interesting characters. Side Jobs: Night City is crafted beautifully and packed with so much content. Gun for hire, item retrieval, taking down gang operations, aiding police in shootouts and unique side jobs that give choices for the situation. Hacking access points for money/XP. Stealing vehicles and driving around, there's probably more I've forgotten. Every little thing you do in the game is unique, perhaps only on the surface at times, but getting immersed in the game is so easy. Sometimes just driving around the city and seeing the locations knowing you can not only see it but go there. Not only the city but the Badlands too. Combat: At least a dozen skill trees, different combat playstyles. Unique weapons & cyberware including smart guns, monowires, mantis blades. Upgrading and crafting is easy. I'm the type to easily get lost geographically, in this game every quest is easy to find and not once did the map not tell me where to go. There is something new around every corner and it's one hell of a ride. Cons: If somehow with the new patch you still encounter any npc you see, but can't interact with just save and reload. It happened to me only twice. Nothing seems game breaking on the PC. Hopefully PS4/Xbox One will recover from glitches, yet as far as PC goes I'm just astonished and can't wait to see what CD Projekt Red has in store with free DLC & paid expansions.

A Breathtaking Game

Specs: GTX 1080, 32 GB RAM, i9 Processor Tips: Turn off abberations and film grain in your graphics settings Important: HAVE THE MOST UPDATED DRIVER FOR YOUR GRAPHICS CARD Night City feels alive and beautiful. While there weren't as many decisions as I hoped, the amount of freedom is still abundant. You can choose what you look like, what your build is ( ninja assassin? Streetfighter? Gunslinger?), and there are many interactions. Driving is annoying at first, but I soon found out it also really depends on the car you have. You start with a bad car so don't let that put you down. The city itslef is filled with heart and tainted by the corrupt tech companies and glamorized sex. You will feel the disgust. But as you traverse around as V to make a name for yourself, you can see that CD PR have put so much effort and have done their HW. The architecture is a mix and being a person who lived in 3 different continents it felt like they blended it together so well. Patience is important in this game. I have 20+ hours in and am still in Act 2. Side missions and quests give you more main mission decisions and choices and you should do them to get the full experience. The main mission is only 20 hours, but in conjunction with quests, it is plenty. You should also know what build you're going for so you can plan out how to spend your ability points wisely. Doing this along with quests and upgrades is how you become a badass merc in this game. As I stated, I haven't finished it yet, but so far it has been nothing but good. The story is amazing so far, the game is beautiful. Many of the bugs and glitches mentioned are not found on the PC version. There are minor things here and there like footstep sounds going missing, but most can be fixed by just reloading a save or restarting the game. Overall. The game is so ambitious that there is bound to be small issues here and there, but as for the PC version, I think they did an amazing job, though not flawless by any means.

Love this game.

I've never felt this immersive with a game world. Understand that lot of people might give it a low score because of the technical issues and whatever life path it choose it ended up in at the same place. I'm personally fine with the choices but do experience some bugs. Though I believe that CDPR would fix them along the way. Such a great game, and can't wait to play DLCs.

It's great

I'm playing for 15 hours now and so far I don't regret that I bought it. I have high frame rates even on Ultra Settings (I have an i7 6700k, 16GB RAM and a Windforce 1080ti with 12GB RAM), the game is a fresh new experience overall and the setting is interesting and sometimes a bit disturbing.. ;) But, I never had any expectations for this game, I never wished they would add this feature and that feature. And that's why I'm happy with this product. Other people did the major mistake to have high expectations, which is ALWAYS a game killer in the end, because no game will fulfill your wishes and expectations. I can't say much about the story for now, but it's breathtaking and makes me wanting more the longer I play. BUGs.. hel yeah, this game got BUGs like sand on a beach. But those bugs can and will be fixed. It's nothing game breaking for me to have characters clipping in. But graphical glitches are all I have when it comes to bugs, thanks god for this! :) So, overall the game is highly enjoyable, the plot is great, the graphic is great..it's great! :)

Worth your time.

I'll be honest, I mod for this game, so I'm not the most objective. However, Patch 1.5 also nuked a lot of mods, my own included. So I feel like that sort of even things out. At any rate, my experience with the game has always been as good as one could have asked, simply because I was fortunate to have a rig that ran it well. Only one or two real glitches. Post-patch, I think it's worth a look for anyone who was on the fence. Is it GTA or Assassin's Creed? No. But is it a fun romp through a rich world, with amazing story and compelling characters? Absolutely. And that's why I love this game. Sure, I could use some more activities to do with the allies you make in the game, but the core gameplay is solid, and the branching story paths are satisfying.
