Crysis Remastered Trilogy
Now available here.

Crysis, the first game of a well-received trilogy, is a first-person shooter set in the year 2019 and the spiritual successor to Far Cry.

Download it now! and take part in a unique virtual combat experience.

What begins as a simple rescue mission becomes the battleground of a new war, as alien invaders swarm over a North Korean island chain. Armed with a powerful Nanosuit, you must achieve your objectives by any means necessary. Become invisible to stalk enemy patrols, or boost your strength to lay waste to vehicles. An advanced AI controls your enemies, so play smart. One wrong move out here could be your last.

  • Adapt to Survive – An epic story thrusts players into an ever-changing environment, forcing them to adapt their tactics and approach to conquer battlefields ranging from newly frozen jungle to zero-gravity alien environments.
  • Suit up – A high-tech Nanosuit allows gamers to augment their abilities in real time on the battlefield. Players can choose to enhance their speed, strength, armor and cloaking abilities to approach situations in creative tactical ways.
  • Customizable Weaponry – A huge arsenal of modular weaponry gives gamers unprecedented control over their play style. Blow the opposition away with experimental weapons, discover alien technology and utilize custom ammunition from incendiary-tipped rounds to tactical munitions that can silently put foes to sleep.
  • Veni Vidi Vici – Lifelike enemy AI challenges players to assess a situation and approach it strategically. It isn't about having the fastest trigger finger – players are challenged to be proactive in the fight, not reactive.
  • Zero-G Gameplay – Battle a horrifying alien species in a true Zero-gravity environment, where physics change everything as players must adapt to moving in Zero-G and contending with the recoil from their weapons and more.
  • Next-Generation Graphics – Built from the ground up using Crytek's proprietary CryENGINE 2™, Crysis' visuals define "state of the art," with full DX10 support and scalable options to deliver solid performance on older machines.
  • Open, Physicalized World – Choose your own path through the open world of Crysis, destroying obstacles, driving vehicles from VTOL's to boats and using the environment itself against your enemies.

Crashed Only Twice On Me, People Flew!

So I figured buying this game as a stress test for my PC at 5 buckaroos would be a steal. Unfortunately, it was so engaging I beat it in a few days of on and off play, much like how FEAR gripped me. In order to actually play it at 1080p, I had to throw everything on medium, which yeah, it was mostly sub-30fps, but I'm so used to that I didn't even care, as long as it didn't stutter horribly. This was fine up until the final fight where my PC didn't much care for all the moving polygons and particle effects. The game itself is rather fun in its own right. I always appreciate a sandbox approach when a game allows it, and this is no exception. I'll detail some other thoughts I had on the game. 1. The only useful gun is the fake Kalashnikov and maybe the gauss gun. The SCAR doesn't get enough ammo until the end to make it appreciable, the SMG sucks, I almost never used the shotgun, the sniper rifle isn't reliable or given out freely enough to overcome that, and the pistols while fun are only good as backups. So the weapon that is reasonably powerful and accurate with plenty of ammo? The AK. 2. Armor is almost useless. I played on Delta and let me tell you, some of the enemies are tougher and more accurate than you. I found it easier to cloak and not getting hit than to rely on 5 guys shooting at me 5 times, which is a shame because I deliberately got into fights because they were fun. This isn't me complaining about the game being hard, just more the balance sways away from getting into shootouts. 3. I found the lack of a map editor dismaying. It didn't come with the GOG files, and doing a search basically said it was straight up no longer available. A shame because back then I dreamed of messing around with it, but now it's digital dust. 4. Pro-tip: Switch between cloak and speed. Cloaking basically makes you invincible, and speed makes your walking speed arena shooter levels, which doesn't eat your energy as long as you aren't sprinting.

Solid immersive shooter

Crysis was groundbreaking for its day, providing large-scale arenas with lots of dynamic elements - explodable and throwable environments, lots of enemies with sophisticated AI, and a cool set of gadgets on a nanosuit without the complexity of games like System Shock 2. The story is nothing particularly imaginative, but any game that has combat in zero g is worth a romp! Yes, the game crashes. It's not well-optimized for all the assets it has in play, no matter your hardware or graphics settings. It has something to do the the save system; the game saves ALL its save files -- quicksaves, autosaves, chapter saves, everything. I was able to play through by periodically deleting old save files, just keeping the last two or three and the chapter saves. I also found that the game would crash if I quickloaded, so I just made sure to always play until I died and let the game reload me. I also avoided too many quicksaves, relying on the autosaves which are plentiful. This allowed me to get through to the end, although like everyone my frames dropped a bit on the final showdown. Still, overall it was a very smooth experience, especially once I figured out the trick with deleting the save files. Hope this helps others enjoy the game!

Crashes to desktop before even starting.

Ryzen 7 5800X3D, 64GB DDR4 3600, 14TB nVME SSD (1x2TB, 1x4TB, 1x8TB), RTX 3090 FE, Win11... everything is up to date. Tried installing without GoG Galaxy, tried the CL1 launcher or whatever from Github, tried compatibility mode, tried playing from GoG Galaxy thinking it'll have an updated version that'd work... Game launches, monitors flicker a few times(I have 3x), and then I'm back at the desktop. No error message, though Event Viewer does point to a .dll. The DX9 version will play, but that kinda' defeats the purpose of playing this game. I troubleshoot computers for a living and honestly I don't care enough to put anymore effort into making this game work. So buyer beware- this is an older game that is no longer supported. There's a high probability it will not work. If you don't mind troubleshooting and tinkering you could eventually get it to work. Just keep that in mind.

I LOVE YOU GOG! CRYSIS

I got the CRYSIS DVD Special or Deluxe Edtion back in the old days. GOG lacks the original sound track and the hardcover art books. Bought again, I really don't know how to fix it to run on Windows 10 so I am here and it's work! THANK YOU GOG. Majority of your games run well than STEAM and ORIGIN! I have 4 copies of CRYSIS GOG, Steam, Origin and DVD edition. GOG's crysis is the only one that runs.

Doesn't work with Nvidia

I own this on steam and it has never worked, I decided to get the GOG version with the assumtion they might have done something to rectify this but no. However the other day I was about to play Cyperpunk on my laptop 4060 but clicked Crisis by mistake and it worked perfectly. It turns out though that I wasn't playing on my 4060 but AMD internal graphics. I switched back to the 4060 and crysis wouldn't open again. Also on my PC I have a 3080 and Crysis also doesn't work with that.
