Crysis, the first game of a well-received trilogy, is a first-person shooter set in the year 2019 and the spiritual successor to Far Cry.
Download it now! and take part in a unique virtual combat experience.
What begins as a simple rescue mission becomes the battleground of a new war, as alien invaders swarm over a North Korean island chain. Armed with a powerful Nanosuit, you must achieve your objectives by any means necessary. Become invisible to stalk enemy patrols, or boost your strength to lay waste to vehicles. An advanced AI controls your enemies, so play smart. One wrong move out here could be your last.
Adapt to Survive – An epic story thrusts players into an ever-changing environment, forcing them to adapt their tactics and approach to conquer battlefields ranging from newly frozen jungle to zero-gravity alien environments.
Suit up – A high-tech Nanosuit allows gamers to augment their abilities in real time on the battlefield. Players can choose to enhance their speed, strength, armor and cloaking abilities to approach situations in creative tactical ways.
Customizable Weaponry – A huge arsenal of modular weaponry gives gamers unprecedented control over their play style. Blow the opposition away with experimental weapons, discover alien technology and utilize custom ammunition from incendiary-tipped rounds to tactical munitions that can silently put foes to sleep.
Veni Vidi Vici – Lifelike enemy AI challenges players to assess a situation and approach it strategically. It isn't about having the fastest trigger finger – players are challenged to be proactive in the fight, not reactive.
Zero-G Gameplay – Battle a horrifying alien species in a true Zero-gravity environment, where physics change everything as players must adapt to moving in Zero-G and contending with the recoil from their weapons and more.
Next-Generation Graphics – Built from the ground up using Crytek's proprietary CryENGINE 2™, Crysis' visuals define "state of the art," with full DX10 support and scalable options to deliver solid performance on older machines.
Open, Physicalized World – Choose your own path through the open world of Crysis, destroying obstacles, driving vehicles from VTOL's to boats and using the environment itself against your enemies.

Among other things, this launcher improves stability, fixes issues preventing the game from launching on some systems, and restores missing graphics options in DirectX 9 mode.
Yes, you read this right. Crysis is excellent title for VR headsets. Ofcourse you need a mod to play this in VR (just type Crysis VR mod in google or youtube, you will find everything you need to know).
You need THIS version, mod will not work with remastered ver.
Modders did way better job than 95% of big companies producing VR specific titles.
Mod installation is jus two clicks :) so you will not be stuck in moding hell like Skyrim VR or Fallout 4 VR are.
Back in the day I didn't have good enough PC to play this so I missed entire Crysis series but now I can have first time experience up and personal :).
Crysis is an amazing game.
I wish I played it earlier, but I thought a game of this age wouldn't impress me. I was so wrong.
If you haven't played it yet, just buy and try if plot is not so important for you.
Honestly, I think it's a legendary game to be released in 2007 and look better than many modern ones.
Gameplay is also good, Switching between cloak, armor, strength and speed modes gives a cool touch to the game. Developers gave a player ability to interact with environment (picking up stuff), but I haven't used it.
AI is well made. Enemies have some intellegence.
Darn, very few games nowadays have a number of nice features which Crysis has.
However, I had a bug where I had to restart the whole level and complete it one more time.
And I couldn't launch it from GOG, had to lanuch crysis.exe, then crysis64.exe in folder bin64 in order to get it to work.
Don't expect it to run with high settings smoothly even on a 1000$ computer.
Recommended.
After playing Cysis when it first came out and totally loving it and having the chance to play again on a working Windows 10 version was worth the risk buying. My research indicated the GOG version is the only playable version on Windows 10 64-bit and yes, it’s true!! (As of version 1809).
Current specs are an AMD FX-8350, 16GB memory, 1080 TI 11GB GPU running on a 4k 40" screen and boy does Crysis look just as good now as many current games, only difference now compared to back then? My rig can keep up with it at 4k 60 fps fully maxed settings.
The AI is not the most intelligent at searching for you but their accuracy is exact, which hurts when they do locate you, so stealth is often in high demand. There are many ways to get around and you are not limited a lot of the time, progress is often at your own rate, be it rush in or stealth sniping.
The ability to shoot up trees, buildings and just destroy just about everything in the area was and still is one of Cysises strongest features, the feeling of being on a beach with the sea lapping at the shore, palm trees swaying in the wind, sunshafts peeking through the leaves and creatures (crabs) running about makes for an immersive play.
Higher resolution play like 4k was as easy as sliding the square in the resolution drop down to the bottom and click, only options I don’t need on is motion blur and AA, it’s barely anything to notice with this setup.
If you have never played Crysis or if you did once and think should i again? There is only one answer, YES!!!
Gaming history is littered with epic games everyone MUST play, Crysis is one of them, the ending... Well ok, you gotta go play it to find out, only thing I am sure of this time is it won’t be the slide show frame rate like the first time I played it.
BUY IT
Crysis, it's no secret, is an FPS that was made just to show the capabilities of the tech engine that it was made of, but still managed to carve out a little space of Diehard fans for its overall simple but good gameplay with some particular( or at least, for the time) features.
Nowadays , the game still look decent... but if you take aside the graphics, it has not aged that well : gunplay was always a little of a downer, story, which does have some good premises, is a little bit chilchè , the final boss is a mess and this version of Crysis does have some minor graphical issue.
However the game is not at all to throw away : it is still enjoyable to play, its reduced length is actually a good side since it manages to close up the story just before it may become tedious, and most of all, the game was a good enough to start of for the franchise.
So, worth buying? mmmm yes, actually this is one of the few time that I would say buy it anyway: it's short and fun.. if you can get past how many time you hear ''NOMAD'' in this game ( a little bit annoying after the 50th time).
