One of my favorite with mods and even VR
Moddable with VR functions and with the sandbox editor unlike the remake.

Beats many games from 2010s
Crysis is an amazing game. I wish I played it earlier, but I thought a game of this age wouldn't impress me. I was so wrong. If you haven't played it yet, just buy and try if plot is not so important for you. Honestly, I think it's a legendary game to be released in 2007 and look better than many modern ones. Gameplay is also good, Switching between cloak, armor, strength and speed modes gives a cool touch to the game. Developers gave a player ability to interact with environment (picking up stuff), but I haven't used it. AI is well made. Enemies have some intellegence. Darn, very few games nowadays have a number of nice features which Crysis has. However, I had a bug where I had to restart the whole level and complete it one more time. And I couldn't launch it from GOG, had to lanuch crysis.exe, then crysis64.exe in folder bin64 in order to get it to work. Don't expect it to run with high settings smoothly even on a 1000$ computer. Recommended.

Awesome as the first time
After playing Cysis when it first came out and totally loving it and having the chance to play again on a working Windows 10 version was worth the risk buying. My research indicated the GOG version is the only playable version on Windows 10 64-bit and yes, it’s true!! (As of version 1809). Current specs are an AMD FX-8350, 16GB memory, 1080 TI 11GB GPU running on a 4k 40" screen and boy does Crysis look just as good now as many current games, only difference now compared to back then? My rig can keep up with it at 4k 60 fps fully maxed settings. The AI is not the most intelligent at searching for you but their accuracy is exact, which hurts when they do locate you, so stealth is often in high demand. There are many ways to get around and you are not limited a lot of the time, progress is often at your own rate, be it rush in or stealth sniping. The ability to shoot up trees, buildings and just destroy just about everything in the area was and still is one of Cysises strongest features, the feeling of being on a beach with the sea lapping at the shore, palm trees swaying in the wind, sunshafts peeking through the leaves and creatures (crabs) running about makes for an immersive play. Higher resolution play like 4k was as easy as sliding the square in the resolution drop down to the bottom and click, only options I don’t need on is motion blur and AA, it’s barely anything to notice with this setup. If you have never played Crysis or if you did once and think should i again? There is only one answer, YES!!! Gaming history is littered with epic games everyone MUST play, Crysis is one of them, the ending... Well ok, you gotta go play it to find out, only thing I am sure of this time is it won’t be the slide show frame rate like the first time I played it. BUY IT

Own the legend
What a game! The atmosphere, the freedom and - at the time - graphics like nothing else. Now the remaster is on the horizon, it’s time to dip back in to one of the greatest PC games ever.

Overall a good point to start.
Crysis, it's no secret, is an FPS that was made just to show the capabilities of the tech engine that it was made of, but still managed to carve out a little space of Diehard fans for its overall simple but good gameplay with some particular( or at least, for the time) features. Nowadays , the game still look decent... but if you take aside the graphics, it has not aged that well : gunplay was always a little of a downer, story, which does have some good premises, is a little bit chilchè , the final boss is a mess and this version of Crysis does have some minor graphical issue. However the game is not at all to throw away : it is still enjoyable to play, its reduced length is actually a good side since it manages to close up the story just before it may become tedious, and most of all, the game was a good enough to start of for the franchise. So, worth buying? mmmm yes, actually this is one of the few time that I would say buy it anyway: it's short and fun.. if you can get past how many time you hear ''NOMAD'' in this game ( a little bit annoying after the 50th time).
