It’s 1986 in California. A group of friends discover a mysterious pink stone that allows to travel between two realms. This gang will live the summer of their lives in an adventure that will get them involved in a government conspiracy. Control five kids with special skills while fighting and solving puzzles in order to save their families and the world.
Crossing Souls is an action-adventure set in a California suburb in the midst of a supernatural event that rocks the small community as grand forces siege the town. Control five characters: Chris, Matt, Charlie, Big Joe and Kevin, each one with their own skills and combat styles. Change characters on the fly and use each character's specialties to overcome any obstacle and target your foe's weaknesses. Fight in real-time, solve clever puzzles, face off against powerful bosses and play special levels inspired by 80's arcade video games.
Feel the eighties - Do you feel that? Do you smell that? Yeah, it's the eighties. A story set in 1986 full of references such as The Goonies, Gremlins, Back to the Future and many more.
Do you like Cartoons? - The cutscenes are inspired by 80's cartoons, totally original and never seen before in a videogame.
Why is this happening? - Be part of a journey between two realms, two realities: life and death. The story includes a government conspiracy, thousand-year-old characters, cowboys, pirates, ice cream, pizza, cheeseburgers, basketball… well, you got it.
This music rocks! - An original score that includes tracks inspired by John Williams and Jerry Goldsmith as well as radical Synth-Pop in the purest 80’s style. Play as if it was one of your favorite movies!
Ready? Fight! - You can kick multiple enemies in the ass stylishly. Fight against street gangs, a secret army, dead monsters, creepy ghosts and many more in frantic real-time combats where a good strategy will be essential to win. Main characters have unique talents and aptitudes.

FIrst of all, I liked a lot the 80' vibes and the references to it. The graphics are well developed and it's nice to watch on the game.
But what most of all impressed me was the storyline. I never played a game before in which I was so much attached to the caracters. Each of them has something special and you also start to like them for who they are. It's pretty impressive.
At the end I can just recommand it to you If you're willing to play for once something with more depth, mostly with the caracters and If you like to jump back right into the eighties!
Enjoy!
I'm currently playing chapter one of the demo. I love the artwork, cutscenes, pixelart, music, sound design and I could imagine that people who downvote the game are probably just too young and thus fail to appreciate the love that has gone into this great 80s hommage. Honestly, I have no idea what kind of game this will be. So far, I it feels to me a little bit like an action RPG kind of game where you discover lots of different locations walking around in your hometown, talking to and helping people solving issues and getting your crew/group of friends together. Each of the (what I think is the) protagonist's friends is an unlockable character that you can switch between anytime. Everyone of the playable characters has got different and special abilities - the main character has got climbing abilities and a bat which he can use to destroy things or beat up rivaling "gangs". Then there's one nerdy guy with some kind of futuristic gun and hovering shoes that let him glide over bigger distances. And a little corpulent guy who's the strongest of all, which can drag boxes around but is unable to jump. And then there's this other guy on a BMX bike that I'm still purchasing. Everything looks and feels very promising so far and I am looking forward to seeing the direction this game is gonna take. I'm hoping for challenging puzzles and a rich experience. It'd be a pity if it failed in providing the latter, given the love in detail that must have been spent into its development!
Altogether, if you're from the 80s, had any/some 1st/2nd gen gaming consoles, like pixel art and love any of its great TV series and adventure movies in particular, you will most probably like this game a lot and any of the bad criticism here will bring you in doubt unnecessarily.
Having had the pleasure to have lived in the 80s, these are my 2 cents. Enjoy this game!
