READ IF YOUR GAME IS RUNNING SLOWLY
My Corsairs Gold was working slow too, I just changed my windows 7 screen resolution from 1920x1080 to 800x600.Now it is working fast.(You can do this to most old games)

Game crashes
Like others reporting, also for me the game crashes after chosing country and entering name, so basically when the map is supposed to get started. Sad, I had a demo version of the game as teenager and I liked it back then and wanted to try and play a full version :)

Terribly Slow on Windows 7
I would love to give it 5 star review. It was a awesome game as i remeber. Now its unplayable. Anyone know how to fix this problem on Win7?
