Corsairs Gold

While Corsairs has a lot of issues (mainly due to this version of it having been "converted" for use on modern systems), the game's simple mechanics allows even the most casual of player to delve right into the salty seas of the Caribbean and become a fearsome corsair, savvy trader, or something in-between! Just be sure to save often, because (as mentioned) this game does have it's issues, one of them being crashing at really weird and random times.

Just found the solution .... 1st step: use 1280 x 720 resolution on your graphic card display wile playing the game! Other resolution will make the game crash (like 1920 x 1080) or make the game impossible to play during boardings (like 800 x 600) If that did not help you can try my settings ..... 2ns step (only use if step 1 wil not do the trick) unistall Corsairs Gold, reeinstall using windows xp pack 2 compatibility (right click setup_corsairs_gold_2.0.0.6.exe look for propieties, right click, look for compatibility, look for windows xp pack 2 and enable it). Install the game and play it at 1280 x 720!! Hope it works for you guys & have fun!

Everything what U need for succesfully function of this game isn´t compatibility or resolution... just take folder with game and copy to the C: library. Looks like C:/Corsairs Gold -then click directly corsairs.exe and enjoy the game.

I really loved this game back in the day and finding it here was a dream. I bought it and then reality crashed down. The game doesn't work. After choosing your kingdom the game crash and there is nothing I can do about it. I really hope GOG can take this matter at hand (it will be really difficult and I am well aware of this) and fix this little masterpiece. Still, right now, I can't recommend this game.
