Control Ultimate Edition

I like story and feel of the game. Combat was great at the beginin g. After 15h it is boring. Same enemies spawning in same places (example: research central location) with same attack patterns, like a clockwork. No chalenge. I just ignore them or just let them kill me to try a different way. Still, same enemies with same patterns will spawn on my route B too. Wave, after wave after wave, 5,6,7? Random Encounter the game :( I am being forced to waste time instead of enjoying - the rest of - the great game. Shame.

+ Game looks great ~ Enemies are so-so, not really that interesting - Save system is a checkpoint style system where you spawn back in checkpoints. It's frustrating to die then replay a 1-2 mins of content. Especially in a certain encounter, those replays will add up.

Just so I can experience it for the first time again... and again... and again... During my playthrough I never ran into any problems, and my rig isnt that new. Game looks great, combat is fair and the whole setting is just whoa. I started Alan Wake a while back, but it was too scary for me to play (so I don't like the Alan Wake DLC), but Control never felt really scary, just a slight chill in some areas. For me it has the right setting on the weird story scale.

Its simple, imagine a playable third person version of a 15 hour movie that is a crossover of a cold war secret bureau setting and the twilight zone...with some light Dark Souls aspects, Like it? The only con i find is some difficulty spikes, but hose only make you get good or give up. Damn near perfect game. For me 10/10

It's quite an interesting thing to see but a lot of the game is designed to waste your time in punishing ways. For instance there's a jukebox that opens up a kind of gauntlet you pay to get into, introduced midway through the game. Go in there and you have to clear four areas under a time limit. Each area has its own obscure game mechanics that mostly haven't been encountered previous and aren't explained. Take to long on the first couple of islands and you simply won't have time to complete the other two, it will be impossible, but the game will let you flail at it regardless then boot you out when the time is up with zero reward. This is just one example but this poorly considered game design permeates through the whole experience.
