This is one of the best and weirdest games since American McGee’s Alice (1).
The mace is awsom, the train part is also very cool.
There are a lot other cool ideas in the game.
I liked my playthroug, hopefully there will be other games like this.
The story in this game isn't handed to you on a platter, it is instead discovered by reading the discarded files and documents littered across each map area. The combat is amazing especially with he environmental destruction and jaw-dropping powers this game is a power fantasy cranked up to 100.
The only reason I would not give it a 5 start rating is as unless you alt+tab during loading scenes the game takes forever to load and I mean 2-5 minutes whereas if you alt+tab it takes 10s-15s. Another problem is the frequent crashes and freezes which in some cases cover the entire screen and render other apps useless as well.
In conclusion, this game is an amazing experience only held back by shoddy loading screens and crashes. Though the optimisation is very good
This game is simply amazing. Although it looks repetitive, I personally don't think it is at all! The shifting of the place makes for a huge map with long hours of gameplay. And just when I thought I'd finished the game, the missions wouldn't stop coming through. So it's really good to have a game which you can play for over 30 hours and on. The combat is simply breathtaking and some enemies are really tough.
This game is amazing. The story is involving, and the lore bits spread across some documents only add to the world. The creepy vibe that you get is not exaggerated, as the main character still has the power to face the dangers and monsters. And the progression and the different zones are amazing and really add to the overall aspect of the office in which you are in, with different NPCs that are all about the work they are doing. Really, the game feels alive without even having too much people.
To every person playing on PC, there is a mission called "Dr. Yoshimi Tokui's Guided Imagery Experience", featuring the voice of Hideo Kojima (formerly the "Isolation" side mission", that may or may not be normally added to your complete edition. If it is not, don't forget to check online how to activate it, so you can take the side quest (or check it on youtube, maybe).
Got the game for free iirc. Started playing the game a while ago. Ran into an issue where the game was having major slowdown for seemingly no issue. Uninstalled and forgot about it for a while.
Came back to it. Decided "what the hell, let's try this again". started game from the beginning.
Certain quests are completely fucked. In the level where you fix the power plant, I could just head to the directoral override without fixing the power plant. sidequest for the dash ability just doesn't activate despite me having the quest active. occasionally crashes just because. Occasionally when alt-tabing, the game decides that what I want to be looking at is the game's pause menu, needing task manager to close and fix.
From what I've played of it, it's fairly interesting. I hope I can get it for cheap elsewhere.
Also its assist mode is really nice.
