Broken
I remember this game fondly from the PS2, but unfortunately this port is pretty much unplayable. It's a shame.

Classic Series if you had a PS2 or Xbox
This game was classic on the sixth console generation. Glad to see it here. Definitely play it if you have the chance, it's a seriously fun game. However, in comparison to the rest of the series it does fall short. Later games had re-supplies and, especially in the case of Conflict: Vietnam you really had to manage your supplies because you might not get more. The series is lightly tactical, you have to think about the best way to engage an enemy group. Often the best way is through the use of crossfire's. Snipers are often only useful if you come across enemies in the distance. Otherwise you may need to play the sniper yourself, to ensure the rounds are there when you need them. All the games will allow your sniper to waste his rifle ammo, instead of engaging close targets with his side arm. In Desert Storm this is less of a problem because you can carry many more weapons. There is a stealth element, but it's not totally satisfying, or even super well thought out in some levels. Later games didn't really fix this though, so skipping Desert Storm won't help with that. The games also a decent length, about 15 missions. Characters can perma-die, which is cool. They will be replaced in the next level. Later games remove this and any character death results in a level failure, which is less realistic but in the case of Vietnam is necessary for the story. As with the rest of the series (minus Vietnam) the game has no story to tell. You will just complete various Spec Ops missions from the Gulf War, mainly Ops Desert Storm/Saber (both levels in game) Solid game, but definitely not as refined as the next games in the series. If you can find Vietnam or Global Terror for PC then skip Desert Storm. But otherwise Desert Storm is still a solid game which should provide a solid few days of fun.

ISSUES WITH GAME
Love this game, but not when the players are stuck elevated in the air, and or when it just shuts down. To many issues or bugs to enjoy the game.

Not the greatest, but worth your time
I should say upfront that the sequel to this game, Conflict: Global Storm (Or something like that, I haven't played it in ages so I could be wrong) is far superior to this one. That being said, this game is surprisingly good for what it is. It's a lightweight tactical shooter, think about it as a mix between modern cover based shooters and tactical shooters, which make the game kind of unfocused, but at the same time pretty unique. This ISN'T Rainbow Six, or Full Spectrum Warrior. What it IS is tremendously flawed and glitchy as hell, but fun and unique in its own right. So if you can tolerate some degree of racism and a mediocre presentation, the game is a lot better than you'd think. Give it a try if you want something more streamlined than the Ghost Recon or Rainbow Six games

Don't Even Bother
I have fifteen minutes in this game and I've already asked for a refund. Camera feels to fast or too stiff and your player will do two very annoying things. Either you step somewhere wrong and you start floating through the air, or run at a ungodly speed. It's very unfortunated that this port doesn't work because I did like this game as a child.
