Still play all the time
With the mods and updates out there, I am one that constantly still flys this sim! Must have for military sims!

Theater of War simulation at its best
There are few far between games, that actually simulates an ever evolving battlefield, like this game. Just think about it..while you idle at your base or flying somewhere to complete your mission, the war is waging on and the borderlines change. You can actually feel that, your simple little mission of taking out a particular target makes a difference. You may get called during the flight to help out some armor and you can choose to ignore it or get on with it. Either way, you are contributing to the winning or loosing, but not definitely loosing the game, since it doesn't only depend on you, of course. Your actions matter, but you aren't the protagonist, just another combat pilot, and the game does a hell of a good job simulating that role! If you are into combat sims, you definitely should try this game!

Great Game, if you have the original CD
Great game if you have the original CD or a pirate version. You cannot correctly update EECH because the original CD is required to take this version to 1.11.1E which is needed for the rest of the updates. As is, the game ran fine for me for a short while and my controller worked for the most part. But unfortunately I was not able to come close to completing any missions because the game will crash every 30min and even if I saved any game, say 25min into game play. I can restart that game and sure thing I get a crash in 5 min or so. I reinstalled 2 times as well as tried to update 2 times. The updates will take without the CD, BUT, the other updates made the game MUCH worse because of this. With updates I cannot play for more than 5min and my controller is pretty much useless. After a lot of reading on forums and NOT on gog. I found One is pretty much screwed by buying this version of the game. And as far as even contacting gog about this, pifft. What a JOKE. I guess a DxDiag log in text format is not the correct format to send a ticket in on a problem and no correct format is given? Customer support is as common here as Honest politicians are abundant. Good luck to you buying this GREAT game but wrong version.

A great target practice sim
Pros: Wide-screen support Active war theater that doesn't revolve around the player Realistic helicopter flight modeling Cons: Too easy to win No trees No in game tutorials Thoughts: Tanks bunch around in the open waiting to get shot and don't seem to shoot at me more with my radar on. Entire mission could be completed while hovering above base.

Needs widescreen support and crash fix
Enemy Engaged is best heli sim for me also strategy game in the half but its have problems escepialy gog needs the stop releasing half- working games(games not working at all)and support more what they release. This game still doesnt have widescreen support and when you enter the game game crashes randomly and sometimes work. No sounds on menu and musics not working.
