Clive Barker's Undying

Having never played this game before, I really am enjoying it. It's genuinely pretty scary, and the older graphics seem to add to the over all creepiness. Controls can feel slightly clunky, and I really hated that there was no in-game map (I had to find what was probably the only one online), but none of these negative aspects ruined the game for me. It's over 25 years old, it's going to feel like a game from that time. If you're looking for some classic creepy horror with a decent storyline, that is engaging and not overly repetitive, give this one a try.

Game is not good as I remember. Looking back and comparing it to other games, it is still not a mediocre gameplay experience. However, it have an above average story with below average dialogues. Certainly worthy of a remake but sadly it is so linear you might as well watch playtroughs on youtube because it will give the same experience.

My grandpa got us kids this game in a two pack with American McGee's Alice back around 2003 when I was about 8. It scared the hell out of us but I always kept going back to it. The game is oozing atmosphere and the story is really interesting. I wish Clive Barker would make more games. I quite enjoyed Jericho too despite some problems it has with the bullet sponge enemies and rushed development but back to Undying. It's not perfect but my nostalgia goggles put this game at a 5/5 and with some easy modding you can get this to play in modern aspect ratios with better graphics as well.

I can't personally say that Undying is scary, but the story is riveting and smartly paced. Classic.
