Annoying combat
People seem to love the story, unfortunately for me the combat mechanics are too annoying (dodge/parry timing mainly) to enjoy it.

It's like playing out a movie
The game has tons of high quality cinematic. The facial animations are amazing along with solid dialogue and story. It looks even extremely gorgeous. Each environment is unique and something out of a fairytale. Each character is very fleshed out which I really like. But Lune is the best. I love Lune.

Highly overrated
The game isn't well optimized, that's a fact. If you have a GPU capable of running at 4K with DLSS, you'll get good results. Otherwise, the visuals will be a complete mess, with grainy shadows and lots of jagged edges. As for gameplay, Expedition 33 offers many ways to improve your character, including attributes, weapons, skills, and pictos, but none of that really matters if you can't manually dodge your opponent's attacks. It's a novelty in the genre that works at first, but becomes increasingly tiring and punishing as the game progresses, because even if you already have a well-developed character, you'll have to learn new attack patterns with each new opponent. The agenda is present in the dialogue, in the well-known way of portraying the man as emotional and even somewhat idiotic, and the woman as rational and wise, but in smaller doses, as they've already realized that overdoing it doesn't sell. In short, it's a good game, with a story that makes you want to see the end, but I abandoned it because the gameplay is important to me; otherwise, I'd prefer a book to read. It's definitely not GOTY unless the level of competition is very low.
