game stop working after latest win update...

Decent enough, but in the long run too simplistic and it feels unfinished in terms of scenario and campaign design in my opinion. Ultimately, I think Caesar 4 is the better roman city builder from the mid 2000s; alternatively Caesar 3 with the Augustus mod tops both.

caesar and others give a lot of leeway but this one doesnt. go fast, go boldly, but remember Rome wasn't built in a day.

I love to play the games of my childhood here, so I understand that they are old games on new machines and need a work around. I couldn't fix the screen resolution here, I even freeze my computer try to fix it and push the reset button on my tower, but didn't mind all that much the wonky resolution after a bit of play, but sadly, the game at one point became unplayable, a bug make the workers go idle forever (the water workers for me), so I was not able to progress the game at all. I look on Internet for clues but nothing really work. This is the first time on the site I'm not able to fix a game, so beware and keep that in my mind, play the game a little and if it doesn't work, then I don't think there are way to fix it easily. I got it on sale for only 4$, but it money throwing in the windows I want back, so I ask for a refund.

It's such a nice game when it works, but it rarely does. You can't even progress past the first primitive hovels because the well workers just decide to go on a "strike". Restarting the game with changed graphics settings a few times can fix the bug. At least for a while until the woodworkers decide that they don't want to work anymore. It's extremely frustrating.
