Good idea, poor execution
I was enthousiast regarding the base idea of a tactical rpg using parodic super sentai context. I don't mine retro pixel art look either when it is nicely done. Anyway, this game suffers from many issues both on the visual and technical part on one hand, and on gameplay too. Many gameplay bugs are really crippling. Many good ideas fall short when you goes over the very first impression. The game lacks depth (which is mandatory for the way i expect a tactical rpg to be). The parodic and humor is rather nice, as well as the nerdy references, though. It seems that most of the hype and buzz was about the cliché, and the nostalgia thing. Too bad it stopped without trying to push a bit further beyond that. Globally, this game is not worthing is actual price, in its actual buggy unpatched state. It is short (less than 8 hours) and with very low replay value. And so far on GOG, i think that for the same amount of money I could find two or three games that altogether would sum up better retro 8bit pixel art, better tactical depth and at least as nerdy and parodic sense of humor (with a total play time far beyond this one)
