It's like this game is a bunch of badly mashed ingredients. Arcade shooter, superpowers, attempt at story. None of it is really good though. By the end I was so fed up with the religious psycho babble and forced goody-two-shoes that I started dreading every new dialogue.
Bad:
*cringe dialogues and sequences that cannot be skipped
*shallow main character that seems to have mind of a 10 year old
*camera that cannot be changed and gets into way more often than you would want
*repeating not-so-random encounters
*trying to be cool in the wrong way
*Loot classification into common, rare etc. which would be better if it was not there at all. Common this is not diablo and for the not even 100 items in the game it's more of a bad joke.
Good:
Somewhat decent shooter if you can suffer through all of the above.
Playing this reminds me of the combat of Freelancer, souped up like a hyperactive kid on sugar. It fills that rush I need from pretty explosions and unforgiving combat while keeping the story interesting but not interupting the core gameplay.
Simplistic at first, but opens up and combat becomes very fast pased and satisfying, while being strategic. Drifiting around and bliping behind enemies is fun. Lore is also quite enjoyable. Difficulty balance is solid and environments are enjoyable.
Reminds me a lot of Freelancer. that is a game i wish they would do a sequel of. its not too power hungry and the visuals and game dynamics are stunning and fluid. easy to maintain 60fps with my Lenovo Thinkpad P15 Gen1
