Compete with the hostile military presence, other stalkers and supernatural creatures, as well as the harsh and unforgiving environment in your search to uncover the truth.
Get ready for a thrilling adventure of survival, conspiracy, horror, love, and obsession
Can you survive your fears?
Base Building & Crafting
Construct a base from which to plan your daily operations and excursions. Utilise workstations to craft gadgets, create traps and weapons or modify existing equipment to your needs.
Resource & Team Management
Companions are key to your survival and the resolution of your journey. Each day requires the careful planning and assignment of resources and tasks to your comrades.
Stealth, Survival & Combat
Survival in the Zone is not easy, and each day brings fresh challenges as comrades die and supplies diminish. Avoid detection with stealth takedowns or engage in open armed. Danger lurks in every corner.
Non-Linear Storytelling & Strategy
No playthrough is the same. Like your choices, the story is in your hands. Choose wisely whether to trust your comrades or not, use resources for survival or research, and confront conflicts or evade them. The future is up to you.
I bought this game to support people of Ukraine. The developer donates all the proceeds from sale of the game to the Ukrainian Red Cross to help the victims of the conflict (Until March 6th).
I tried demo of this game on Steam (why there is no demo on GOG ?) and I liked it so much that I decided to grab a DRM free version from GOG.
This is a horror survival RPG game with heavy focus on the story and decision making.
The game immediately grabs interest with dark atmosphere. The game has super nice graphics and it is a surreal experience to walk in the exclusion zone via a digital world. I like that I can play entire game with Russian voiceovers for added immersion and that my choces will affect the outcome of the game.
This is game for fans of S.T.A.L.K.E.R, Fallout and Metro.
It's a complete shame that the developer saw fit to add a time limit to a game like this, Time limits are for arcade action shooters or maybe even hack and slash genres and even then it's a hard sell, in my opinion this game would have been a cult favourite because even in its early iteration it has extreme potential but there's absolutely zero chance of that happening with any time limit whatsoever it loses the immersion first and foremost but what's more important as you approach the game from a finish this part and move onto the next perspective which becomes boring fast, my advice is keep everything in place remove the time limit and find away to spend the progression process across levels so it looks and feels like one big game rather than a bunch of small timed mini games
The problem with this game is that the developers are scattered too much, the game wants to go everywhere but ultimately does not go anywhere
The main objective is to find clues about your wife who disappeared three years ago.
But around that you also have to manage your base, your companions, you also have a morality system, you have to manage your stress and your weapons
On paper it looks really good, but once in play it's terribly poorly executed
I started the game yesterday, exited the train at the very start of the game and immediately got stuck when I attempted to explore 1 inch of the forest to my left. That's probably my fault, but still.. I had to reload. Moments later, when the very first mission started the screen just went blank. I could see the navigation bar at the top but couldn't see anything else. I reloaded and then my screen was still black but then the navigation bar was gone. I restarted the game and then the same thing.. I then reloaded the game from 2 loads prior and then I could finally play the mission. I have a 3070 with updated drivers and Ryzen 3600, Windows 10 so I knew the issue wasn't me.
Aside from that, the game wasn't what I expected. Enemies are the same and rarely seen in the zones, and super easy to take down so it doesn't feel very immersive. The crafting and building system is super simple which I actually appreciate, because I'm not the type to spend 10 hours building a base, this isn't Fallout. The graphics and story are great, but with all the initial bugs it broke the immersion for me.
