Gunplay is a bit of a joke, you can just stunlock an enemy in his own hitanimation without them shooting back much in the later stages of the game, otherwise they are all sniper with autolock lasers. it´s a hide n seek peek a boo out of cover shooter with broken stealth, meaning stealth is too OP. So OP you can just hide in a bush for 3 minutes from the black stalker when he hunts you. regarding that, you have a limited time on each mission before he comes through a wormhole and chases you, so you either hide in a bush or fight him each time or extract back to base before having looted the entire map. issues with midgame tier weapons is that even on hard difficulty they can defeat him quick n easy.
no enemy variety, only 2 monster types in total, 1 enemy type with varying armor, looting becomes a game of pure attrition and repetition to grind for boring base building functions and companions needs, as if those fuckers can´t get food themselves and sit in the warehouse all day. I had to kill so many characters to not sacrifice others for the good ending, meanwhile the game reinforces me im not a killer, but you... just are. goddamn this dishonored level moral bullshit again. no thanks. little story to no story outside the ending sequences. its basically a heist game with stupid memetic dialogue and cringey character personalities. Olga was the worst together with sashko. classy retarded gopniks.
difficulty was way too easy, play it on hardest or theres no challenge. UI was console optimized.
decision making is often more a gamble, hence you can always self annihilate and just change your decisions, making it all meaningless in the end. all style, little substance. i liked the atmosphere and routine. expect it to be a fun at some points, repetitive, janky game and nothing more. has nothing to do with stalkers amazing atmosphere and rpg elements. more like a double AA jank release for fans of such settings. even ressource grinding became a chore too fast. not good.
I played a few missions, but never encountered a problem with any time limit. Actually, until reading these comms i didn t even knew there is a ține limit for each mission.
...Sadly, a very poor execution. Enemies notice and aggro towards you before you can logically notice them, the weapons feel very run-of-the-mill, you're not told about the gameplay flow, the story snowballs and trips over itself, the UI mimics Fallout 4, content is still heavily restricted or non-existent, and there is a hidden timer that counts down from 30 minutes per mission. Oh, and a rather critical bug: the UI would break randomly, whether on load or on area change, and just quit displaying both subtitles and dialog selection. Despite changing the spoken language to English, it just kept playing in Russian with no subtitles, causing me to miss what little tidbits and options were offered to me.
Now, the timer system. I know what they're going for, but implementing a harsh 30 minute timer is unreasonably restrictive. What, you're telling me that a cold stealth mission should take no more time than an avoidance or gunfight mission? It makes it feel like a rough demo rather than a game, where I'm concentrating on time rather than gameplay. There's a reason that freezing the timer is one of the main features for trainers.
The story. Within the first five minutes, the game tosses so much out there in a scattershot pattern that you have absolutely no idea what is going on, despite getting clear plot points in said time. Missing persons, Soviet-era control programs, international espionage, anomalies, and quite a few elements from Stalker all wrapped into one. It's a shame because it could be a decent story, but there are way too many logical leaps and disconnected events that we're effectively given nothing in the first half-hour; it's gibberish.
Bottom line: this game is HEAVILY influenced by Stalker and Fallout 4, and not in the best of ways. The story that we get could be good, but its implementation is a bit sour and incomplete. The gunplay, base-building, and survival gameplay is serviceable at best. Despite the time, still a beta-tier project. Avoid
