Great adventure with small issues

The adventure part itself is good. Given that the game is free, you probably won't even mind that it is short either. So why the three stars? Because, first off, puzzles are sometimes more trial and error than logic. You basically run the mouse across every piece of the screen to see what you might be able to click. Then randomly try ever piece on your inventory on everything you can think of. Sooner or later you will probably just go to the walkthrough. Second, the writing has some issues. Whoever wrote this did a good job at showing how crazy people are, but has zero knowledge of how pregnancies work and what actual labor looks like. Jumping around and up and down, and dragging your weight across ledges when nine months pregnant. Moaning and belly holding are supposed to make this feel more realistic - and they probably do, unless you have seen the real thing. Obviously the game sets us up for a delivery sooner or later. But also tries to make us believe, that said delivery is an act of seconds that can be done fully clothed. Fall to your knees, moan a bit, done! Forget about the kid probably cutting its own umbilical cord, making its own clothes in passing, and just walking out the door. In short, due to its problems with realism, this game is sometimes as close to actual horror as a movie by Charlie Chaplin. But put all those concerns aside and you still got a great game that is solid entertainment for a couple of hours. So give it a try - it's free after all.

Backtrack-/time waster Simulator

I saw a trailer and thought, this would be a cool game, right in the style of Stasis (which I liked). The puzzles are bad, the walking speed of the character is somewhere between a snail and a turtle, no fast travel possible (double-click on a room exit gives you no fast transition), some rooms are so big, you can click on one end and do something else of of your computer, while the character is walking across it! That is ridiculous! Theme is a bit interesting but couldn't keep me engaged to force me through this title.

Get Stasis instead

The writing is completely off in this one - Stasis lived from its desperation and from the main characters believable reactions to the terrible sights he comes across. Hadley just cracks stupid jokes left and right. The PDAs writing is also way worse and less believable this time around, the pictures did not help either. The conversations felt very forced and not enough background is built around the story to make it matter. Sure, it is free, but I cannot really recommend this to anyone. The ones who d like Stasis should get Stasis, and the ones who do not should not get either.

Sanitarium?

This game has a very similar feel to Sanitarium that was released in 1995 which is also available on this site. It has the same type of setting where your character wakes up unsure of what is going on in his surrounding environment and has to solve puzzles to get answers. I personally think Sanitarium is way better but this one was interesting too.

Got sucked in after Stasis

It's a short, novel like prequel for Stasis that sets the mood of the successor game - Stasis. Pros: - Art plus voice acting - Great atmospher - Hey! Its completely free. Cons: - The Pda entries, which give you an insight in the station past and the history of this game chapter. They contain clues and pointers so they are a usefull read. It's not about the what's written in them as I understand they were intened to give you an impresion that it is the npc who wrote them, so no compaints there on scrips or punction and syntax as this was probably intended. The problem is... they also give you an insight on the NPC itself. They all seem to be horrible socio/psychopaths with weird, gross fetishes and manias. Kinda went way overboard with this, as they all seem like taken out from a C rated slasher. - The temp and humidity riddle is kinda too much and can get you frustrated. Got stuck on it for a good hour. Unneccessarily prolongs the game in a frustrating way.
