But don't let this dissuade you, because it does the most important things well. Gunplay in particular is amazing, firefights are loud, tons of smoke and dust flying all over the place, top shelf stuff if you're into that. At the same time, one of the game's protagonists is a joy to listen. Marc Alaimo [that is more known for playing Gal Dukat in Star Trek] gives an amazing performance as Ray McCall, and carries what is otherwise a basic Western story on its back effortlessly. But you are warned, the game juxtaposes levels containing awesome gunfights and awkward stealth and platforming segments. In fact the first level's really bad and a major turn-off for many. Don't let that stop you, the rest of the game is well worth it. As a last mention, this was the first game supporting DirectX 10 effects. Frankly, many parts of it are still looking good, almost 18 after its release. Wait, has it been 18 years already? Oh god!

the reviews here pretty much say it all. played it through twice on X360 and now i'm into it again. any other FPS this clunky would have me stopping an hour in and never playing again (mind we are spoiled these days with titles like Dying Light), but third time around and i'm still enjoying it. i think there were some new ideas for FPS gaming here but it didn't quite gel, but that story...just pure classical western, and at points it flows so well. i'm glad it made it to GOG. i hope this sets a premise for at least the sequel/prequel Blood Brothers to get here, as i still rate it as one of the best storied FPS of all time, and the contextual cover system in it still hasn't been matched yet. oh, Gunslinger would be nice too.

this game has not aged very well the missions with ray are good but the missions with billy not so good bound in blood and gunslinger were a lot better

ok this game is old so don't talk about obvious, the problems are a lot about game mechanics and in the story too, but it's really a good challenge do it today.

I had given this game a try. It looks rather good. However I was not able to finish even 1 episode on easy level. Yes, I googled how to proceed. This did not help because this version of game obviously differs from what is shown in walkthroughs I've found.
