Great tactical WW2 shooter with flaws
Felt like I just played through the Band of Brothers series! I liked the tactical gameplay where you have to suppress enemy fire positions and flank them. Rushing them would often result in fast death. After finishing the game, I'd say Sniper Rifle is my favorite for long range (one-shot infantry) and Stg-44 (or MP40) is the best for rushing enemies or clearing out rooms. Some later missions get a bit annoyingly difficult with MG positions you have to clear out or multiple tanks you need to take out while you are shot at by enemy infantry. I do love how you get to know all the soldiers over the levels and there are some really likeable characters! Also, gunplay is quite janky even with manual aim (it sways a lot so don't expect modern COD level gunplay). Overall, I'd give it 4/5 and I look forward to play the next one!

Just how I remembered it
If you're keen to scratch that WW2 shooter itch look no further. Gameplay is slightly dated for a modern audience but if you grew up playing it like I did you'll be fine.

Clunky, on-rails, respawning enemies etc
Right from the start you notice how stiff and clunky this game is. You can not run, you can hardly jump over anything, you get stuck on small obstacles on the ground. You are often locked in by hedges/fences and other stuff (like invicible walls) that shouldn't be a real obstacle in any other game. Also for me it only plays at around 50 fps. Many seem to have 30 fps cap, so don't know what's up with that...I have a 4070 anyway so no reason it shouldn't reach 60... 100% linear. 100% on rails. 100% respawning enemies. 100% clunky and stiff and not very fun at all.
