Thank you Mandalore and Sseth.
I don't typically leave reviews on GOG, but I feel like an exception should be made here. I never knew about this game until Mandalore's video. I wish I had, this game is phenomenal. There's really nothing it does overtly badly, everything ranges from good to excellent with the highlight being the visuals and music. The game is/was criminally underrated and unknown and I'm happy that Mandalore put such a spotlight on this game. Great Leader is dead. Solo Nobre must fall.

Yes, it's really THAT good!
I usually never leave reviews, but this game is so good I had to. One of the few games where you buy the lore with the same resource you use to upgrade weapons, and it's still worth it. The game gives you plenty of cash to buy whatever you'll want or need. It's smart, funny, tragic, and downright awesome. A brilliant and sad tale of corporate coups, citizens caught in the crossfire, and lasers that you can equip that canonically cause mega-cancer to opposing mech pilots and civilians alike. Definitely a cyberpunk tale in themes and visuals as well, so if you like that you'll feel right at home here. You play as mechs, tanks, powersuits, anti-gravity vehicles, and an auto-rickshaw with a cannon strapped to it just to name a few. Each is unique in its own way, and there are a ton of them. Weapons are similarly rewarding and fun to use- nothing like strapping a massive autocannon to a tank as a main gun and kicking ass. Or maybe a chemical cluster mortar that release super-corrosive acid? Or maybe a stealth loadout for a quick but fragile powersuit? There is a campaign as well that serves as a really good introduction to the Freelance contracts. IMPORTANT: you need to change the controls in the menu right off the bat. Switch to RELATIVE movement controls, not screen absolute (the default). You'll thank me later. The dev has said relative is supposed to be the intended way to play, and it definitely makes the game much easier. You'll learn to position yourself to avoid getting shot in your weak rear, for example. Visuals are amazing, sprites are beautifully detailed. Environments are awesome and fully-destructible, and everything is drenched in a warm neon glow. The soundtrack is absolutely top-tier as well; very synth-heavy and downright fun to listen to. Many times I would just sit and listen to the music for extended periods of time. Not many games are that good, but this soundtrack is fucking amazing. That's it- you should really just get it.

I Didn't Know I Wanted This
Definitely slept on this one, it's an absolute blast and has something for pretty much everyone. Once you get the controls down it plays like nothing else!
