Bound By Flame

Just played the game for the first time and probably the last, dont get me wrong, good RPG, but very tedious and repetitive game. . Same enemies from start to finish. But the combat was very good had fun, you have dodging, blocking etc ... Many times weapons and armor, like that very much. You can buy stuff or make your own and make them even stronger, really love that idea and concept. One of the hardest last boss i ever played, was extremely hard, almost thought to give up, and at the very last second, i have done it. The ending was decent but felt a little rushed, like not worth it 15h to get there, or maybe that's just me. The game on sale i worth it, i think i got it for liek 1.50$ Overall a decent game with ups and downs, only for a very specific group of ppl. Very hard game, not like Souls games, but i would say somewhere in the middle just .... not as fun i think is the word.

I wouldn't say the game is bad, but I think there are better games in the fantasy action RPG genre. I'd rather be playing a game from the Witcher series, anything from Piranha Bytes, or even another game from this developer (Spiders). The main focus of Bound by Flame is combat, and it got boring and repetitive quite some time before the final fight. I'm glad I've finished the game but it was quite a chore. I'd raise my score if the game was more polished. There is a lot of mistakes in dialogs. For example a companion asks me to take her with me to kill a miniboss. We do it, we get a cutscene after we kill it, but the companion is still asking me to take her to kill that miniboss. But like I said the game isn't bad. The combat system is solid and fights are challenging. And the overarching story is decent and it also contains some decisions with consequences.

Bound by Fire leans more towards a 'Gothic' atmosphere than a traditional 'Souls-like' or Witcher experience. If you're familiar with other Spiders games, you'll recognize it as an earlier iteration of their later titles, such as Technomancer and Greedfall. The story is engaging, and the gameplay is solid overall, though the final boss felt frustratingly unbalanced and unfair. Despite this, Bound by Fire is still a must-play for any RPG enthusiast.

Better than I thought once you got into it.(One hour) Then you get your fire powers it gets better! I have played way worse action/RPG's! Solid story and solid action!
