Black Geyser’s storyline and dialogues contain references to mature themes such as crude language, violence, alcohol and drug use, as well as sexual acts. The game visually portrays alcohol and drug use (in form of magical potions), violence and blood.

5 Hours In...is this all there is?
An older game that appealed to me at first look. This was likely an impressive game when it was first launched. While I cannot play 3-D games as they make me ill, Black Geyser is too close to the format of tiny characters, run-around, kill this, then that, and do it over again. Too repetitive for me. Too hard for my old eyes to see. Refund requested.

Worth a penny. Literally
This must be the worst RPG I ever played, and I kinda played them all. There's nothing to save this one. The story is boring and unoriginal. Just sort of a surface level trace, an excuse to keep all togheter. Characters (the main one, but also any companion) are flat cliches with nothing interesting about them. Sometimes quite incoherent (like the necromancer who's also kind of a joker, but unfunny), but they're so poorly characterised that even saying that might be a stretch. That said, if the gameplay was fun, one could get over these issues. But it's not. Quests can be completed without even reading anything (they're all just go there, kill everything, come back). Fights present absolutely no challenge. They are easily won, without the need of strategy, items (potions, scrolls etc), or even using and fully understanding your characters skills. Leveling could be done at random cause it makes absolutely no difference, which makes re-playing the game unappealing. The crafting system seemed interesting in the beginning, but the novelty effect ends quite quickly considering that you're not gonna need anything you craft. Money also it's not an issue. I went through the game refusing any compensation for quests (playing the generous type), I ended up with more money I could spend. And I mean it literally, cause there's nothing to buy. Items choice is quite poor, and, as I said, it's not like you're gonna need consumables. Horrible.

Appears to be Broken
At the point where I find myself with the crone in the woods, I have followed the crafting tutorial far enough to dry the mushrooms and roots but she is stuck in a loop where she keeps offering me candles -without actually giving me candles- and I can do nothing to proceed further. I enjoyed the fifteen minutes of the game I played I guess. Maybe I will try again after they release a patch

WAY too old school, in a bad way.
I found this game to be WAY too old school for me with point and click movement, flat 2D graphics that look like the game was made in the early 2000s, insanely dull dialogue, and terrible optimization on the crap Unity game engine. With an RTX2080 and an i9 processor, the frame rate for me was in the 40s unless I put the graphic settings on low. And by the way, the only graphic settings for this game are low, medium, and high presets. There are also lots of long loading screens, you cannot rotate the camera, and combat is really lame and dull with just repeatedly clicking on a tiny icon and watching to see what happens. The objectives are also ambiguous and there is no mini-map, so you sometimes have no idea where to go. In addition, I found the drying and crushing ingredients to be rather dull as well. Overall, I just did not enjoy my time spent with this game. I would much rather play better games.
