Excellent!
A core aspect of games is avoiding failure. In an FPS you want to avoid dying by getting shot. In a strategy game you want to avoid being overwhelmed by your enemy. In a sports game you want to avoid being outperformed by your opponent. For most detective games though, just like point and click adventure games, the main failure state has always just been getting stuck and being unable to progress. Not enough games of the genre embrace the mechanic of providing consequneces for coming to an incorrect conclusion. I can count the detective games that do that on one hand. Between Horisons understands. Gather evidence, solve puzzles of logic and interpretation, if all else fails, guess, and try not to be wrong. Brilliant stuff! I want more games that try to do what this game does.
