Excellent Point and Click Game!

When I first got a GOG account I straight away got this free game! I had heard it's really good and needed to play it! But... I didn't get to download it till about a month later! I've been playing it for the last 3 days now and it's one of the best adventure games! Buy it now!

Benath a gamers time of day

Apart from the opening this game never achieves the threatening and dystopic mood it seems to seek. Although the protagonist is said to be a threat to an oppressive police state, the protagonist and his sexual innuendo sidekick walk around and converse directly and defiantly with police officials. The most dystopic aspects of this future vision is the lack of security and alertness of the oppressors.

BASS

This game is good but not up to the same standards as other Lucasarts games like Monkey Island annd Day of the Tentacle, it's also pretty short.

Good game though dated

Rather dated graphics and character movement, but a good story with a poignant ending. I loved the character of Foster (aka Bob) with his dry humour and acerbic wit: aided in this by quirky Joey. As a downunder type, I would have liked the game even more had Bob and Joey had Aussie accents (It was set in Oz afterall) A great feature with the F5 key, was control over music volume, as the music drove me nuts and I could kill the sound. Also, I have to confess to having to slow the game down for the puzzle where one has to get back before the eye wakes up (my hand-eye coord is not what it once was). Bob learns about his Outback origins and for me makes the right choice at the end going back there.
