Being a DIK - Season 1

Interesting concept, mixing mini-quiz type mini games with usual kind of adult novel game. Those mini games can be skipped, though, for those who don't enjoy in such stuff without affecting the main course of the game. It's a typical adult novel for a better part, with two main paths player could take inside it, the dark (DIK) path, or the light (CHICK) path. It's the best to play the game twice and to try both paths, because the're quite a differences in storyline between them. All in all, it's quite a long (average player may need more than 18 hours to finish just a first season) but funny and interesting game, with some dark revelations and twists to make it more serious and interesting. It's one of the better games from this genre and I surely can recommend it for anyone who's fond of such stuff.

I don't often play these sorts of games - they're new to me and only certain games interest me enough to hold onto them for more than the 'quick fix' they provide in certain scenes. This game, however... is really, really good and balanced. This feels like the college experience I never had (non-US). The socialising, events, relationships, all intermixed with some issues that I have had or know some friends have had in the past. It's all a really, really good mix of circumstances. It brings up a lot of issues, fun times, and consequences, in addition to what I think most people play these games for. There's more than a few twists to keep you interested and you begin to genuinely want to see more and more of the story unfold. Lots of interconnected decisions and plots you don't see until later, and they unfold quite naturally - nothing feels forced or strange in terms of pacing. I can't wait for Season 3 - I hate cliffhangers!

this game is amazing, i love the immersion of seeing the results of my choices, i relish seeing the connections between the characters. All in fun, enjoying the creator's attention to the small details. You love Jill? enjoy the scene where you worked to get the main character to declare his love. You don't have an interest in Jill? enjoy the scene where she burns Tybalt down to the ground. Love it

I was surprised at how well the characters were written and you got to know their distinct personalities.

There are a few other great ones out there. There are a couple just hitting completing season 1 (with a dozen episodes give or take in it) that are really good. This one really is at the top though. It's ok if you like another better though. Point is you will not be wasting money on this game. It is great. Season 1, Season 2, and an Interlude are complete and Season 3 is in development with the final touch up stages on episode 2 which should be out in the next 4-6 weeks. The Seasons are long, which is excellent. A few reasons why this is at the top of AVNs: **Replayability is phenominal and everything gets better as it goes unlike some where it starts off good and gets worse. **Choices are meaningful. **The Seasons aren't short. **The renders are terrific from the very start and like the entire game, continue to get even better. **The coder is extremely active working on the rest of the story and you won't be left in the lurch which sometimes happens with AVNs. The current two seasons are so long and replayable that if you haven't started, you have plenty to keep busy with until Season 3. **The dialog is top notch, the characters are diverse in that each aren't cookie cutter, and each personality is well developed. Downsides: It does take nearly a year for each episode, so if you have played thru the Seasons and interlude multiple times (which is a pretty big and enjoyable undertaking) and are waiting for the next episode, you have to have patience. But I will add, that even if another part didn't come out, while I would be sad, what is out there is just so good I'd never regret the time spent so far on it. If you play it as your first AVN (like I did) then you will compare all other AVNs to it and most will fall way short, ruining some OK AVNs. There are a few that are comparable out there though. So not to knock other top notch AVN's out there, and there are several, but this one reigns atop the list.
