Welcome to a grim dystopian future.

You are the State-installed manager of an apartment building. Your daily routine involves making the building a sweet spot for tenants, who will come and go. However, that is simply a facade that hides your real mission...

SPYING on your Renters!

Your primary task is to covertly watch your tenants and eavesdrop on their conversations. You must BUG their apartments while they're away, SEARCH their belongings for whatever can threaten the authority of the State, and PROFILE them for your superiors. You must also REPORT anyone capable of violating the laws or plotting subversive activities against the State to the authorities.

You MUST! But will you?

You are a cog in a totalitarian machine! But you can still choose to cling to your humanity and empathize with others.

Will you report the suspicious activities of a father and orphan his children? Or will you withhold the details about his illegal activities and give him a chance to make things right? You may also choose to blackmail him to acquire the money your family desperately needs.

What about the others?

As you play the game, you'll interact with many characters and complete dozens of quests. You'll also make decisions that will affect the way the story unfolds. This will lead to one of several game endings - the ending you have earned!

Just Remember: Your choices have consequences! And you will have to deal with them!

Not gonna lie, the slow descent into fascism makes this game hilariousy satirical at the moment. I love how it is cute graphics punctuated by USSR style dictatorship and is a riot to play

I obviously don't get it...

Bought this on sale for $1.69 and I still feel totally ripped off!! Awful gameplay. The tutorial doesn't actually tell you how to play the game, in fact it doesn't even cover the most basic, important mechanics. Play around, trial and error... make a decision, your whole family gets killed for reasons that I never understood. Start over again. Fun! NOT!

What a joke

4 stars for this poop should tell you everything you need to know about the people who review on GOG. A flailing wannabe Papers Please that blows its load on animation and falls short on any conceivable species of engaging gameplay. Oh we're living in a totalitarian Soviet satellite state where weapons are illegal? That's okay everyone in your building carries a weapon on them at all times and will blow you away without a second thought or the slightest regard for their family being sent to gulag and for what? Because you told them to flip off over some trivial incident. Game over. I'm glad they felt the need to at least include the option that leads to a game over state 100% of the time no matter what just to punish you for... what exactly? Not bending over backwards to accomodate the people who depend on you to provide them a place to live. I'm greatly tempted to move to Belarus where apparently I can shoot my landlord in the head for so much as looking at me wrong and everything will work out just fine. Went from 1 star to 2 when I realized I could stop my wife from nagging me by planting a weapon on her and calling the gestapo. Only amusing moment in the few hours I could stand to play it.
