Still great and mods make it eternal
Base game is the best balance of Tabletop and Videogame Fun we fans have eveer been given. Mods into other eras and expanding the number of units playable at once have made this game eternally fun.

Awesome turn based combat
I have hundreds of hours in this game. It is really good. A little dated on some of the graphics but not much else comes close to the gameplay. Do yourself a favour and get it

Great port for Alpha Strike/Battletech
The base game feels great, very straightforward. Streamlined. I played the mod, BTA or Battletech Advance, and it has no campaign but the game is expanded 10 fold with new weapons, mech variants, changes and modifications to gameplay.. it makes the game feel a lot more like Battletech, and makes the vanilla game feel like Alpha Strike by comparison. NOTHING wrong with Alpha Strike, I love a good skirmish game. BTA is just a great mod that has brought a TON of life back to the game for me. Be warned, if you run BTA mod on your main game, you will not be able to access your campain. DO NOT do it on a file build with your campaign save.
