Unique gameplay and game mechanics
After playing this game, no other RTS game impressed me. It had everything! Projectile type ranged attacks for ranged units, burning splinters coming out of a burning building would set fire and damage other buildings it hits or just damage units, you could roll boulders off cliffs for instakilling units, higher ground really mattered, all units had unique fighting sounds and animations, ranged units would fight in melee when attacked by a melee unit (archers would fight hand to hand using fists and kicks), the resource management was very neat, rain would affect the growth of rice (the most important currency). Stacking max tier units was a bad strategy. It was way better to take advantage of the synergy between different units and their abilities. Really, I can go on with this list for hours. But the more I played it, the more I loved it. I am just really sad it got no sequel or no "remastered" version. I would have payed hard money for it.
