supercilious and unpleasing
I don't normally feel compelled to leave reviews on games I don't enjoy, but the audacity of this game's developers really left me with no choice. In response to the tsunami of negative reviews this game has received, they decided to go onto their own forum and beg their users to enhance the game's review scores. In their pitiful attempt to balance the scales, they offensively, patronisingly, and demeaningly exclaim that we, the gaming community, just aren't "progressive" enough to get it; that we barbarians only dislike this masterpiece because we're stuck in the 1950's - that it's their inclusion of a trans character that's set us off. How ugly. Really, despicable. These people want to hijack trans issues and use them as an excuse, really a weapon, to attack people who rightly see through this shallow, woefully written failure. It's like they don't understand. The vast majority of us don't care that you included a trans character, what we care about is your inability to make a good game. To try and throw gamers, the people who bought this wreck, under the bus to save yourselves from facing the reality that your fans hate your product, is truly shameful.
