The bad reviews are wrong! Make no mistake: all deluxe content is available for early access players. You just have to know where they are, the game won't tell you: all "physical" content (character sheets, OST) can be found in the installation folder. The digital game content can be found in the storage in the chest. Everything is there and as promised by Larian.
Baldur's Gate is an extremely addicting game. Gameplay itself is very slow, but if you're someone who likes to be thorough, then this is the cream of the crop!
If you're used to playing other games, this may come as a shock because others are very limited in what you can do. Here though, it seems every choice you make has an impact on your future outcome. You can truly choose to be "Lawful Good', 'Chaotic Evil', or somewhere in-between and your actions will impact group members and/or future group members. The impact can be as severe as them leaving or even attacking you or in the complete reverse and them falling head over heals in love.
Combat is tricky and takes a lot of planning. I, myself, prefer the Fighter/Warlock setup because you can have upwards 7 or so attacks per round. However, you can truly play pretty much anything you want. Fights can be planned out and doesn't just have to be straight forward like in pretty much every other game. You can get really creative, such as pouring oil on the ground, near spikes, then shoving your enemy into the spikes and lighting the oil on fire.
Anyway, it's well worth the money for me and I'm quite happy playing the game!
Most, if not all the "content" in this "DLC" are the types of content provided with other games (many many other games) on GoG as free bonus "goodies" along with the base game.
The inclusion of such "goodies" being one of the things that once set GoG apart from other distribution platforms, btw.
One might say "Well goodies come along with OLD games, & this is a NEW game that is why the OST, artbook, etc. must be purchased seperately as a DLC". But that does not hold up, there are many newer releases which still choose to include such content as "goodies".
In fact, looking at CDPR's own Cyberpunk 2077 game, we see included as "goodies":
Game OST, (in mp3, wav AND flac formats), artbook, digital comic, wallpapers, avatars, posters, an "easy mode guide", AND a previous version of the game (1.6). All bundled with the BASE GAME as free extras.
And Cyberpunk 2077 base game & Baldur's Gate 3 are both priced $59.99 as of this writing.
The least that BG3 could do is to include the digital audio & art extras as "goodies" with the base game & then perhaps sell the "in game" extras as DLC .
I have seen more & more games on GoG pulling this bullsh*t in recent years; taking digital extras traditionally included for free as "goodies" here on GoG, & selling them separately at inflated prices as "DLC", blatantly FLEECING us, their customers!
We must vote with our wallets, not buy overpriced, bullsh*t "DLC" packages, & let developers know that we will NOT accept being fleeced by them.
I will not be buying this "DLC", no, not even on sale. The extra content looks nice, but really should have been included with the base game as free extras.
