I still have a original copy from 1996. This game blew my mind in 90'', I was young and this game showed me everything a game could be. One of my fav adventure game, sharing place with The Dig and Monkey Island! Very nice move with this, GoG! Thanks!
I had no idea what I was getting myself into XD I installed the game twice and after bouncing off and uninstalling it each time, I decided to give it another try but this time, dive deeper into it. I went from: "What am I supposed to do?", through: "Oooh, okay, I get it!", to: "Hey, this is fun!". You play as a cockroach and everything is huge, so going from point A to point B will take some time and will confuse you, especially at the beginning. The game doesn't teach you what you're able to do but because controls are just movement arrows and 'space' (for menu) you should be able to quickly get the hang of everything. Game has hints, that give you direction, but because of some jank here and there, you'll wonder, if you understood it correctly. Because of that jank and graphic problems happening sometimes (screen goes black, videos staying on the screen, after they finished playing) I can only give it 4/5. It's still a fun game, especially if you're into that old video game acting XD Took me around 4 hours to finish it and I spent most time in the first location, confused, but I really enjoyed the experience of playing as a cockroach and If you're not grossed out easily, you should try it too 8)
Nasty and weird game from my childhood. I remembered the name of the game in a dream :D and had look for it on GOG. Finally got to finish it.
Had some save bugs by the end of it but worked out ntl.
A game that's so unique in every single way and so grotesque it's almost sinful to have thought it up, an outerbody experience into the dangerous journey of a man in the body of a cockroach, with the most hideous and obnoxious obstacle path ever constructed in a game.
It's wonderful creativity but it's not for the faint of heart or even the remotely squeemish indidual, but it's truly ingenious and was miles ahead of it's time with the animations, this is a proper adventure both twisted and slimey and about the precarious life seen through the eyes of a cockroach on a path through a labyrinth of filth.
It's nasty it's disgusting and it's an absolute delight to play, there's possibly nothing else on earth quite like this game.
