The world is covered in strange ink, an unknown plague has gathered its cruel harvest. The city seems to be completely empty and dead, but in its every corner there are manifestations of fear, sorrow, frustration, misunderstanding, loneliness and suffering. The situation looks hopelessly, but not everything is lost yet...
Enter the feverish dream and experience its abstract world. Recognize the degradation of your environment and adapt to it. Act with caution. There is a malicious virus waiting for you at each step. Avoid the ink and everything should be alright.
Keep an open mind and be prepared for anything. Expect an enemy in the person who you would least expect it. If you feel betrayed, remember that a fever can change a strong, healthy person into a complete wreck. An infected mind loses common sense..
Attempt to save at least one person. Remember, sometimes 100% effort is still not enough. Don't let the fever infect your mind. Don't let the ink to change you...

Average, it goes back and forth between horror, minor jokes, and full on 4th wall breaking towards the middle and end. It felt like playing the journal of a frustrated dev (whose also in the game) trying to perfect game development; bluntly pushing that it's all just a game with direct references to the older games. It had some charm to it but I can't say it grabbed me, once games do the 4th wall break and push it hard I lose alot of interest so maybe this isnt the game for me.
I can't put my finger on what I'm trying to say here but I feel the game is too confusing very early on and not because the puzzles are hard but because I don't know what to click or which screen to be on. The magnifying glass helps but I still found myself not knowing how to progress even after clicking literally everything on screen. The game is fun but too many early problems for a casual like myself.
This game was a long and tedious headache. I bought it on sale and since I enjoyed playing the first game, Bad Dreams Coma, I figured I'd like this one as well. It has similar creepy atmosphere, eerie music and sketch-like drawings, but boy was it frustrating. There's a handful of locations, but you can only access them at certain times and you can't pick up objects--even though it's obvious that you'll need it at some point of the game. I pretty much got bored half way through and followed a walkthrough because it was so annoying to click on object after object and not get anywhere. It felt more like a hidden objects game by that point.
Perhaps I just didn't have the patience as I had with the first game, but I just wanted it to be finished. It's a shame because it had some interesting parts.
I love it when games go on sale because it means getting to play something fun for less money. However even though this was .99 on sale and it is a game, I didn't have fun playing. There are so many items that are used throughout the game,, but the game only lets you pick them up when they are needed and no sooner. This makes it cumbersome more than inuitive. You have to try and hopefully guess where in the game you have to go to get XYZ items, even though intuitively there could be more than one option. For example, there is a wood plank you must pick up which is fine right? Well you can only get that one wood plank instead of the 7 others that are in the scene. Clicking things does not always work and nothing happens even though it was the thing you needed to click. Other things you have to double click and there is no indicator to let you know this. The NPC you interact with all game is constantly making the game stop with dialogue that doesn't need to be said. For example when you click anything in your inventory. Things you tried clicking before with become active, making your mouse cursor change, and the NPC will come up to let you know that you've clicked an item you don't need. There is a game within the game, which I usually love, but in this case it was a point and click puzzle in a point and click puzzle. This just felt exhausting after a few hours of trying to get through the main game. The game was so tiring in terms of feeling like I had no alternative methods to find solutions to the task at hand that it didn't even spook me like I was hoping. The few jump scares that were present stopped making me jump because they were all delivered the same, The music was only eerie up until the second hour and then it just became a burden on my ears to hear. Words can not express how much I did not like playing this game. I didn't bother to finish it even though it can be done in an afternoon, if that is any indicator to how much I did not like this game.
