Description
Assassin’s Creed® is a game that redefined the action-adventure genre. With photo-realistic graphics, an advanced physics model, and a nearly fanatical attention to detail, this title was able to begin a new chapter in gaming history. However, the excellent technical aspects are only half of the reason why it became so popular; the other half is the story.

While you technically play the game as Desmond Miles, the main focus of the game takes place elsewhere. The year is 1191: Jerusalem, the middle of the Third Crusade. You are a member of a mysterious order of assassins where you have trained your whole life to do one thing and one thing only – to kill. The recently growing influence of the Order of the Knights Templar disturbs the delicate balance of power in the region and therefore directly threatens The Brotherhood. The clash of the two most powerful organizations in Jerusalem at the time has the most unexpected consequences and triggers devastating events that threaten the world itself, and you – Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad – are in the middle of all this.
  • Well-constructed story that will pleasantly surprise you many times along the way.
  • Impressive level of interaction with the environment – crowds react to what you do and act accordingly.
  • Open world gameplay lets you to decide how and when to achieve objectives, where to go, and gives you nearly complete freedom to get there.

The worst game after 4 PoP games

I've been playing 4 games and every one has something that I enjoyed: - varied locations - interesting/good conversations between characters (you can laugh or be sad) - nice fights (1 had very basic but intuitive, other let you skip by doing stealth kills (quick time events), the last one were intuitive & somehow basic but it make quick time attacks better by requiring player to use different keys) - secrets were teased - you have to find a way to certain place or beat certain challenge - story were finished & interesting - no loading screens (1st one had very few but 4th had 0). - interesting bosses, challenges (riding a chariot wasn't good but interesting) Of course not every PoP game had everything but it still had some. Assassin creed has maybe 1 or 2 things good. Fights are challenging but you need to unlock certain moves. It's very entertaining for few enemies. Stealth kills are nice too unless you need to wait some time before killing. About bad things: - Story is not finished and/or not so interesting. There are 2 stories. One could be considered finished but it's not so interesting. Other one is just teased. - It automatically load last "checkpoint" if you fail. It's not seamless as with PoP4. When you don't fail you have to run to lose enemies. - Towns looks realistic but there is nothing interesting in them. - BEGGARS AND DRUNK PEOPLE ARE CRUEL. - Conversation are used to world build but they are not very emotional. - Secrets (flags) are hidden around towns and there is no other way than look every place. - Missions are the same. Go do few investigation (beat a guy, pickpocket, get some flags, assassinate guys) and kill main guy. First few "missions" are not what you will be doing in 95% of the game. - Without too much spoilers. You can beat a game with some freedom (pick investigation, fight enemies or run). Certain part of the game forces you to only use one "style" of game. It even adds a lot difficulty (unless you are familiar with that style).

Assassins's Creed: Directors Cut

All the Ubisoft title's is now currently on sale, on steam, and one on GOG. Never played Assassin's Creed before and bought it from GOG instead of steam. I just currently installed the game but can not past even the first mission when the game just suddendly stop then quit's to the desktop. Restarted my pc and again the same propblem. Do not know what is wrong with the game, really want to play the game but it keeps giving me the same problem all over again. Basically wasted my money on a game that I can not even complete. Really want to play the game but if GOG is not going to fix the problem in the game then going to buy the game on steam while it is still on sale (only a few hours left before the sale ends). Really disappointed in GOG in selling a game that does not work at all. I hope they wil fix the problem. I have really look forward in playing my first Creed game but if the first installment of the game give's you a game breaking glitch then do not know if willing to buy the other one's. Have losts of game's on GOG that works perfectly fine but just this one that give's me problems. And for some of the readers that are intersted in my pc specifications here goes : CPU: I7 4790 RAM: 12GB DDR 3 (1600Mhz -dual memory) GPU: GTX 980Ti Asus Poseidon (6GB) Motherboard : Asus Maximus VII Hero Enough to run the game. Any suggestions wil be apreciated.

Boring

This game initially looks like a mix between DeusEx and Dark Messiah of Might and Magic. Problem is it's linear, with messy interface, with nearly no choice of what to do and no character development and the fighting plainly sucks. You just click attack and that's it. No control of the actual way to place a strike. Even Oblivion is more flexible than this! The graphics are pretty good that's the star I gave it for. The story is kind of interesting, but not worth a second star. mixing future with middle ages is s stupid idea. The physics "engine" is actually inferior to Dark Messiah of Might and Magic, which is an much older game of the same company! In short I'm disappointed with this game. Maybe others will think differently, but for me this game misses the "game" part.

Well, that is just awful...

I never even got through the initial tutorials... every time I quit and restart, I have to go through the 10-minute listen-to-babble cutsceen, then grind through a miserable tutorial game which describes actions using terms (for controls) that don't even match the PC that I'm using... and getting hung repeatedly on certain steps (especially grab-and-throw) that get hung and I cannot escape... and apparently that tutorial cannot be skipped. I managed to cope with about 10 restarts before I simply lost interest and deleted the stupid program. How pathetic... I've definitely been spoiled by AC Valhalla and AC Origins...
