Another World: 20th Anniversary Edition

Mac and Linux users will not be left out. Truly a classic. The Making Of video, Developer Diary and Soundtrack are a great addition. Incredible concept and execution from start to finish. Pretty short by today's standards, but will not disappoint.

If you haven't played this classic, then add it to your shopping cart now. Definitely the best 2D platformer ever created. One of the most amazing things about this game is there is absolutely no dialog (spoken or text). However, the story is amazingly deep and touching and is quite better due to the lack of speech in the game. A must have if you are a collector of classic games. Don't miss this one!

Another World (aka Out of this World) is a classic platformer that really showcased what PCs could do, and remains a shining example of PC action games. Its highly stylized graphics, epic soundtrack and sound effects never fail to draw me into the alternate world it creates. I have many fond memories of this game, and even though it's short and has no dialogue, this simplicity is deceptive and you will soon find yourself captivated. You owe it to yourself to explore Another World!

I still own this game but have not been able to get it to work on XP. You also need to use a code wheel to generate a code each time you run the game .... PITA. This is a great game in that you get very little info on how to play it, its all a matter of figuring it out. Like the swinging of the cage bit ... awesome game and level design. Yes the graphics are not like today but today's developers could learn a thing or two about game play from this little gem.

I still have this game on my Atari ST, good memories, great game, fantastic atmosphere, it's amazing. Short?, yes a little, but worth every penny and every second i invested on it.
