The story takes place before the events from Alder's Blood and changes the perspective from Chief of the Hunters - to a commoner, named Charles. 

Charles, as everyone else in this cruel world, is struggling to stay alive. Daring his luck, out of bravery or desperation - he aims for a quick buck and attempts to hunt the spawns of darkness. If he'll survive - income from reselling the remains of the beasts will secure his livelihood for weeks to come.

What he is not aware of, is how his story will soon unfold and his life... changed forever.

In the world ruled by misery and humanity rotting in shadow of God's dead carcass - death, becomes mercy.

Short, true, but gripping.

Everything just dips with this overall atmosphere of world gone dead. Monster sesign, SFX and ambient sounds, art style, tactical combat mechanics - dig it, every bit of it. Recommended to friends for sure.

Great surprise!

As was mentioned, this demo is short but you get a taste for the mechanics and the story. I love the bleak ambiance of the game, and by the time I was finished, I was hooked. The story seems nice and the writing was much better than I expected. The graphics have a great style to them too. I was a huge fan of the Disciples games and while this is not the same type of game, Alder's Blood has a style reminiscent of Disciples to me. I'm getting the game and giving it a try! Great job guys.

Broken - Doesn't get past the first step

Literally: Installed using the setup_alders_blood_prologue_1.0.13_(64bit)_(36974).exe I tried to move the guy one step and he freezes in place doing the run animation, no matter where I click Running Win 8.1(64). Didn't try installing via Galaxy, as I don't need another downloader/advertising display.

It doesn't even launch

You even have to restart your pc, Ctrl+Alt+Suppr can't be used.
