Still one of the best
First I played it at the release, around 1996. Now I'm playing it again with all of the old positive feelings, excitement and experience. This game is still one of my all time favourites beside Fate Gates of Dawn, Jagged Alliance 2., Eye of the Beholder trilogy and so on.

So pretty...for an ancient game
Man oh man is this game clunky, but it is also one of the most beautiful games ever made (doesnt look the part nowadays, but still). Bring patience if you wanna play this one and it will be rewarded.

My childhood dream
This game is my childhood love. It is a spiritual successor to Amberstar and Ambermoon from Amiga, so the gameplay is refined over many years. It has gorgeous pixelart graphics, beautiful music, an engaging tactical turn-based combat, a captivating story, old-school hardcore dungeons and it is huge - it takes dozens of hours to complete. An absolute gem of a game.

A flawed German RPG gem
The graphics world. lore, plot and characters are amazing especsially for the time it came out. The combat is a bit repetetive and once you have access to ice magic and certain other mass destruction spells most encounters become kind of samey and too easy unless you didnt pack enough mana potions. The bosses are the exception since they are immune to ice magic. The final battles cant be tough even on high level which I found a bit unbalanced but they are doable. Its the atmosphere that really is king here not only the graphics but the unique science-fantasy is very well fleshed out as well. Especsially for the time the game setting was a nice break from the popular but a bit stayle High Fantasy settings for RPG's. I encountered one bug where a crucial item didnt spawn, but eventually did. I would recommend have multiple saves and save reugarly. The fact that you had predermined characters similar to a JRPG was also very interesting. I can recommend this to people who want to try something different.
