Love these type of games
@Sharki, I get what you are saying about GOG, but as long as they continue to put out the oldies, I do not care if they release the newest ones as well for they will soon be oldies as well. You may be disappointed but I see it as good business being they do something extra that Steam does not do and that is Steam has DRM in their games whereas GOG does not and as long as they keep on doing what they do GOG will get my money. Now as far as the game goes, it does have a Stephen King feel about it and I love SK writings and I feel he is the best of the best.

Awesome game so far
I am in the beginning of the Chapter 4 and really enjoying the game. This is not the genre I usually play, but I gave it a shot and not regretting. The story is mysterious and cool so far, graphics is awesome, effects are great and the overall atmosphere is maintained on the top level. Collectibles add another level of fun. Controls are a bit funny sometimes but you'll get used to it really quickly - there aren't too many buttons. I would recommend this game even if you normally don't play this genre.

Epic!
This game is structured like a tv series. It is like King's horror novel. It does not have silly jumpscares, where it shines is atmosphere. I enjoyed every second of it. The story is a bit confusing, but it is very interesting and misterious. The voice acting is great. The graphichs are nice. There is quite a lot of combat which involves unique light mechanic. There are a few guns to choose from, but this game is more about the story and atmosphere than fighting. Nevertheless, the combat is quite enjoyable. Pros: - Atmosphere - Interesting story full of mistery and supernatural - Nice graphics Cons: - Combat/targeting may be difficult at first as there is no crosshair - Cars don't handle very well - The story is a bit difficult to understand A very good game with a good atmosphere, story and gameplay. Strongly recommended. Feels like watching a tv series or reading a book.

A brilliant thriller
Alan Wake is propably the best game Remedy has published to date. It's a brilliant story-based psychological thriller with innovative combat and an interesting episodic way of story-telling. Heavily influenced by Stephen King, the game is just creepy enough, and also has some great humor and references to Remedy's previous games. Highly recommended for anyone looking for an exciting single-player experience. The PC port is well made, and comes with all of the DLC.
