Old school RPG fun!
While the game has simple graphics, the progression into the doungeons keep the player interested as you slowly gather gold and slay monster.

A predecessor of the Ultima series
A beautiful little piece of RPG history, more of a relic than adventure, bridging the gap between tabletop imagination and computer worlds. It's crude, unbalanced, and barely a game by modern standards, but historically invaluable. The fact that it was made by a high schooler makes it all the more impressive.

Totally Unplayable
It may be a classic - but nevertheless, it remains completely unplayable by even the lowest of todays standards. Grab it for free. Run it once for historical edification - never come back to it again.

Interesting and really charming game.
guess in total only played less than an hour, but I could've sworn it was longer. Overall it really was just a really cool game. Not the greatest game, but with how minimalistic and simple the game is while still being somewhat obtuse is just really intriguing. To have warrior or mage and have the magic amulet only cast 4 spells where one of them is "bad???" and it can just turn you into the chad lizard man or the virgin regular ass toad is something else. but in terms of what the game is trying to do the fact that this is a precursor mystery dungeon style game where you need to go deeper through the randomized caverns, but the main limiting factor is your food and health just really ties together the minimal rules to what results in a really solid survival dungeon crawler. Plus as crude as the spritework is, it really just sells the charm of the game to me. It's really amazing this game is free though, as a piece of history I'd honestly say it holds up even if it hasn't aged the greatest but considering how fast you can be, and if you abuse the save, luck number and lizardman amulet you can get through this game way faster. If at any point the game just starts getting repetitive you can really just go "yeah I'm done, lets just make us a hyper muscle inflated lizard guy and we'll just bumb rush our way through the dungeon like guts hitting the galaxy gas." Pick the game up! It's a free fun piece of cultural history :>

A neat novelty, but not much more
Complaining about a game being old is a bit silly, but there's not a lot here. It's also really unintuitive and almost impossible without using exploits.
